Jurassic World 3 release date announced, Emily Carmichael writing script

Even though we’re still a few months away from the release of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Universal Pictures has already set a release date for Jurassic World 3. The film is set for a June 11, 2021 release date. So far nothing else is slated for that date, though an untitled Pixar animated film is set for a June 18, 2021 date, a week after Jurassic World 3’s release.

Furthermore, Universal has hired Emily Carmichael (Pacific Rim Uprising) to write the script with Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow. The pair will write the script based on a story by Derek Connolly and Trevorrow, who both crafted the stories for Jurassic World and Fallen Kingdom.

Jurassic World 3 is confirmed with 2021 release date announcement

With Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom just a matter of four months away, Universal aren’t wasting any time in announcing that Jurassic World 3 is very much in the pipeline. Today they announced a release date of June 11, 2021, for this epic dino adventure.

Powerhouse’s Emily Carmichael has been brought into the family fold to pen the script for the third outing after impressing Spielberg on the Amblin Entertainment production. She will be joined by Colin Trevorrow – who has co-written Fallen Kingdom – as co-writer.

Trevorrow will also return as an executive produce the new chapter alongside franchise creator Steven Spielberg. Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley are also returning as producers.

‘Jurassic World 3’ Already Has A Release Date

Jurassic World: The Fallen Kingdom is just months away from hitting the big screen and yet, Universal Pictures is looking further ahead with the Jurassic franchise.

Universal has the third installment slated for the release date of June 11, 2021. The studio seems to have good faith in the sequel, the franchise, as well as writer Emily Carmichael who will join Colin Trevorrow by co-writing the third installment. Carmichael has recently written the screenplay for the upcoming Pacific Rim Uprising.

“It’s important to this franchise that we welcome new creative voices to keep our storytelling fresh and alive,” said Trevorrow of Carmichael’s addition. “I’m thrilled with the tension and beauty J.A. Jurassic World 3 Slated for June 11th, 2021 Release

Although we're still several months away from the release of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Universal is wasting no time getting the sixth film in the franchise up and running, as they've officially announced a June 11th, 2021 release date for the latest sequel.

The news of Jurassic World 3 comes from multiple outlets, including Variety, who report that Universal has set Emily Carmichael (Pacific Rim Uprising) as a co-writer on the third Jurassic World movie alongside Colin Trevorrow, who co-wrote the first two Jurassic World films and directed the first of the new trilogy in the franchise that all started with Michael Crichton's seminal 1990 novel, Jurassic Park. Carmichael and Trevorrow will write their screenplay based on a story by Trevorrow and Derek Connolly, who also co-wrote the first two Jurassic World movies.
