- Born to internationally-acclaimed animation writers Pamela Hickey and Dennys McCoy, Elizabeth was practically raised in their office, following her parents along to meetings, voice recording sessions, and industry parties since the age of five. She showed early promise and talent in writing, and idolized the heroes she read about in the comic books her parents brought home to her every week.
While college took her through the Midwest and Southwest and gained her half a Master's in Classics, she found herself drawn back to Los Angeles and into the family business, helping her parents at Hickey-McCoy Productions with minor tasks, and gaining hands-on practice in scriptwriting, outlines, bible editing, and synopses.
Her first venture into the animation world was on The Adventures of Cosmic Quantum Ray for the HUB Network, writing under the name "Andrea Case" so as to establish herself without fear of accusations of nepotism. Later, she would go on to write four episodes of Super-Sportlets under her real name.
In between writing gigs, she can be found photographing for well-known ska and industrial bands, such as the Specials, the English Beat, the Dance Hall Pimps, Hex Rx, and Kevorkian Death Cycle. Her work has appeared in several albums released by Hex Rx.
She has also done extensive work testing and developing video games with companies such as Activision and 2K, her name appearing on several Guitar Hero and Call of Duty game credit screens.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Elizabeth Hickey-McCoy
