Arthur Mountaniol is Los Angeles-based experimental rock artist and filmmaker. A former leader of the Russian progressive rock band The Moon Pierrot (1985-1992, major label Melodia). In 1998 he immigrated to the USA where launched his solo career in Hollywood, CA. There he became a prolific recording artist with over 20 records under his belt. A member of the American Society of Composers (ASCAP), he has received many rave reviews from Music Connection Magazine, which has called him Martian, Mad Maestro, and Bonafide Original. His music aired on the largest rock radio station of California KLOS 95.5, and in 2005 he also was nominated for the Best Guitarist by LA music newspaper Rock City News. Arthur Mountaniol is best known for his diverse vocal styles, throat singing, innovative guitar work, visionary music, and award-winning short films and music videos. In 2004 he started his own US-based independent record label and publishing The Moon Pierrot Republic on which releases all his works.
