Daniel Reyes Llinas musical career began at the age of 10, teaching himself guitar. Later he formalized his training with guitarist Carlos Castilla, Carlos Rocca and Jaime Arias at Andes University in Bogotá, Colombia. In 2001 he was selected among the 'Youngest Performer Series' at Luis Angel Arango Music Hall in Bogotá and broadcast by the iconic HJCK radio station. Attended masterclasses with Leo Brouwer, Eduardo Fernandez, Ricardo Cobo, David Torn, Trey Gunn & Nik Bartsch among many others.
Since March 2004 Daniel has been a resident performing artist with renown British Guitarist/Composer Robert Fripp's The League of Crafty Guitarists and the Orchestra of Crafty Guitarists, tours in Argentina, Germany and North America.
2010 Bang on a Can fellowship, 'Molino' first digital album is available on iTunes. his works are featured in the films: La Cascara de la Nuez (2003), Mosaic (2007), Carmen G (2012), The endless love of Salome ( 2018 ) and Six Hours in Paris ( 2019 ). Mr. Reyes Llinás is the resident composer of Teatro Escarlata of Medellín, Colombia. He is also the lead composer of Parias Ensemble, instrumental group dedicated to blurring the nature of improvisation and notated music. Daniel resides in Portland, Oregon.
