- George was voted Sexiest I.T. Guy at What's Love 6 in Columbia, SC on Valentine's Day 2012.
- In 2009, on opening night of Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story, George tore his ACL onstage during the closing number. He finished the show and performed the next seven shows on crutches. This caused some people to mistakenly believe that Ritchie Valens was on crutches at Clear Lake. He was able to complete the run and then had surgery to replace the ACL. Six months later he was back onstage playing Lumiere in Beauty and the Beast.
- George did not originally audition for Our Father Takes a Bride. He drove Tiffany to her audition and Joe, the director, asked if he would mind helping out by reading. He agreed. After a few scenes, the director sat quietly with his eyes closed before turning to George and asking, "If I were to offer you the lead right now, would you accept?" Surprised, George asked a few questions about the script and scheduling, and happily accepted.
- On May 27, 2017, Faith's Song (2017) won multiple awards at Christian Film Festival in Newport News, VA, including Best Feature Film, while George earned three individual awards: Best Actor, Best Actor Fan Favorite, and Best Villain for his portrayal of Roger.
