Claudia Lopez was born in Mexico City. She directed her first short
film, "Hora de muerte 8:36" (Time of Death 8:36) in 16mm. It premiered
on Mexican television on "Abrelatas" (Open Can) on Channel 11. This was
also her graduating project from the Communications Major at
Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (Monterrey Tech in
Mexico City) from which she graduated with honors. She continued with
graduated studies in Photographic Production and Theory from Monterrey
Tech and Kodak. Claudia went on to work in advertising where she was
responsible for accounts such as American Express, Ford, Pepsico, Sabre
Travel Network, Celebrity Cruises, Royal Caribbean, Bleu & Blanc
amongst others. She later was involved in the publishing industry as
editor for the monthly magazine Salud y Belleza (Health and Beauty).
Claudia then went on to pursue a career as an assistant director and
producer for various corporate videos, events and television
commercials for clients such as Saatchi & Saatchi, Intel, Microsoft,
Estudios Churubusco, Telmex and Telcel. She is currently working on "La
Muñeca Fea" (The Ugly Doll) as co-director and producer.
