Video: Nicole Scherzinger Works Her Body on 'Sytycd'

Nicole Scherzinger was a musical guest on the July 14 episode of "So You Think You Can Dance". Before the top 10 contestants of the dancing show were announced, the former frontwoman of The Pussycat Dolls showed off her moves while singing her solo single "Right There".

The female judge of "The X Factor (Us)" was introduced by host Cat Deeley who recently celebrated her Emmy Nomination for Reality Show Host. Sporting a long ponytail, she bared her midriff in a white top, short shorts and a sheer white blouse at the Thursday gig.

"Sytycd" sent home Ryan Ramirez and Alexander Fost that night. Ryan was in the bottom three with her partner Ricky Jaime, while Alexander dragged along Sasha Mallory to the dangerous zone. The other couple in jeopardy were Melanie Moore and Marko Germar.

So You Think You Can Dance Results: Did the Right Contestants Crack the Season 8 Top 10?

Traditions were broken on So You Think You Can Dance this week: A Season 8 couple who hadn’t been in the Bottom 3 all season found themselves in jeopardy during tonight’s results show. The judges, for the first time in five weeks, eliminated a male and a female contestant who hadn’t been dancing as partners. Oh, and gloriously, both the show and its sublime host Cat Deeley found themselves nominated for Emmy Awards.

Should we pause here for a moment to offer a slow-clap for the best host in the reality TV game? Dee-Ley! Dee-Ley! Dee-Ley!

Ahhh, that felt good,

Sytycd Recap: Two Too Divine

Will there be a more stressful day this year for So You Think You Can Dance fans than Thursday, July 14? No, that’s not a reference to Bastille Day — Nigel Lythgoe is a Brit, after all! — but it will mark the brutal moment when the final two dancers are sent home just short of the Sytycd Season 8 touring Top 10, and the 2011 Emmy nominations are announced. And as far as I’m concerned, there can only be one satisfying conclusion: Ryan Ramirez and Ricky Jaime must get the boot, and Cat Deeley must finally score herself a nod in the Outstanding

Sytycd Recap: Electra Boogaloo!

Sytycd Recap: Electra Boogaloo!
So You Think You Can Dance continued a Season 8 tradition on Wednesday night of bringing us an inoffensive guest judge who lobbed softballs and/or followed the Nigel Lythgoe party line. The latest variation on this theme, Carmen Electra, brought a supple, new-age-y twist to the role, but she might have been just as effective if she’d held up placards with emoticons conveying her feelings about the various dances: “Happy,” “sad,” “sexy,” and “I’ve run out of vocabulary words.” The one thing that confused me about Electra’s judging stint, though, was her response to Cat Deeley’s question about her dance credentials.

So You Think You Can Dance Recap: 16? Sweet!

So You Think You Can Dance Recap: 16? Sweet!
On Wednesday night’s Top 16 episode of So You Think You Can Dance, highly entertaining guest judge Kristin Chenoweth declared that the night’s final two-person routine was “a dessert — and I liked every bite!” But if you think about it, her metaphor could’ve (and maybe should’ve) been expanded to describe the entire two-hour telecast, which offered one sweet treat after another, to the point where I was practically waving my arm at the TV screen and shouting “I’ll take one of everything!”

When it comes to confectionary indulgence, however, there’s always a price to pay.
