Was the first to shoot on the RED ONE Digital Cinema camera (#97) in a Combat Zone (Afghanistan) in early 2008 in order to promote the concept of higher quality digital historical footage to the military. While the DoD ultimately did not pursue the concept, the small amount of footage he was able to shoot has been used in multiple films and documentaries where it has garnered him an Emmy award.
