Taylor Slade(I)
- Actress
Taylor Slade, born on March 21, 1996 in New Orleans, Louisiana, started
her film career in 2008 when she was cast in the independent feature
film "My Friend, Oscar." Her whimsical performance as the awkward and
quirky Sophie Badeaux garnered her a Standout Performance in a
Louisiana Film honor by the New Orleans Film Fest jury, an honor never
before or since given to an actor at the festival. She parlayed this
into her latest role as the fragile and abused Abby in the dark drama
"Bury Me."
From the beginning, Taylor knew she wanted to be in the spotlight. At age 8, she asked her parents to get her an agent for Christmas. Though this wish wasn't granted, she soon discovered a love of competitive Irish dancing. Touring nationally and dancing in front of hundreds of people at a time would inadvertently prepare her for the pressures that acting would bring. Miss Slade will attend University of Louisiana at Lafayette this fall and plans to join the theater of performing arts to continue perfecting her acting skills.
