Take a look @ writer/director Brooks Hunter's 2014 psychological 'found footage' action thriller "American Descent", available on Blu-ray and DVD, March 8, 2016, exclusively from Anchor Bay Entertainment Canada, starring Eva Link, Olivier Surprenant, Caeden Lawrence and Mark Slacke:

"...in 2014, 'Sergeant First Class Stephen Harris' edited and uploaded this film. It was his message to the world. A group of teenagers are sent an unlabeled DVD from a U.S. Army base in Afghanistan containing a video of a strange woman tied to a tree. It ends with a clue. The teens follow the clue to another and yet another, until what started out as a game becomes a terrifying chase into the mind of Harris.

"At the end of the line, the teen’s world comes full circle as they discover they weren't just playing a game, they were pawns in a revenge plot only a master of war could devise.

Exclusive: Mark Tonderai Talks House at the End of the Street Blu-ray

Director Mark Tonderai discusses his thriller House at the End of the Street, currently available on Blu-ray and DVD

Director Mark Tonderai made his feature directorial debut in 2008 with the thriller Hush, after working as an actor, writer, and producer for various films and TV shows. The filmmaker returned to the silver screen last year with House at the End of the Street, starring Jennifer Lawrence, Elisabeth Shue, and Max Thieriot. The story follows Sarah and Elissa (Elisabeth Shue and Jennifer Lawrence), a mother and daughter who move into a dream house they shouldn't be able to afford. As it turns out, just at the end of the street, a young girl killed both her parents, with the lone survivor Ryan (Max Thieriot) living all alone in that big house. When Elissa starts to get close to Ryan, she learns the untold truth about what really happened. I recently had

Keep Driving Past the House at the End of the Street: A Movie Review

Director: Mark Tonderai. Writers: David Loucka and Jonathan Mostow. Cast: Jennifer Lawrence, Max Thieriot, Elisabeth Shue, Gil Bellows, Nolan Gerard Funk, Eva Link and Allie MacDonald. House at the End of the Street is a mediocre thriller that was released in theatres September 23rd. The film received a solid welcome, but this reviewer is not sure why. This PG-13 horror film lacks tension, conflict, and any meaningful terror. Instead, House at the End of the Street feels like a horror film with training wheels. The film is too safe and mostly predictable. The film's story involves a mother and daughter duo. Elisabeth Shue plays Sarah, the overprotective mother. Meanwhile, Elissa is the rebellious daughter played by Jennifer Lawrence. These two characters move next door to the "murder house." Their neighbour, Ryan (Max Thieriot), is the only survivor of a double murder orchestrated by his sister, Carrie Anne. Ryan's parents were

House At The End Of The Street Movie Review 2
Title: House at the End of the Street Directed By: Mark Tonderai Starring: Jennifer Lawrence, Max Thieriot, Elisabeth Shue, Gil Bellows, Eva Link, Nolan Gerard Funk, Allie MacDonald “Look at that tree. Do you see the face?” “No.” “Look for another three minutes of screen time. Now can you see the face?” “Yes! I see the face.” Two scenes about the face later and I still didn’t see the thing. Thanks “House at the End of the Street” for making me stare at a tree for five minutes for no reason. One night, young Carrie Ann (Eva Link) brutally murders her parents making her brother, Ryan (Max Thieriot), the sole [ Read More ]

House At The End Of The Street Review

Director: Mark Tonderai

Starring: Jennifer Lawrence, Max Thieriot, Elisabeth Shue, Gil Bellows, Eva Link

Certificate: 15

Running Time: 101 Minutes

Synopsis: Mother and daughter Sarah and Elissa move to a new town and find themselves living next to a house where a young girl once murdered her parents. When Elissa befriends the surviving son of he murdered family, she learns the horror is far from over…

The marketing for this thriller has been suitably unnerving. The first trailer that arrived a few months back and featured a very clever and unique spin that I certainly hadn’t seen used in a trailer before (or since). The mysterious clips, stills, and creepy poster designs made House At The Edge The Street a thriller I had high hopes for. Rising stunner Jennifer Lawrence headlines, and following the success of The Hunger Games, was always bound to ensure a few extra bums on seats (hence

House At The End Of The Street Movie Review
House At The End Of The Street Director: Mark Tonderai Starring: Jennifer Lawrence, Max Thieriot, Elisabeth Shue, Gil Bellows, Eva Link Modern horror films suffer from two of the same problems; either they go too far, or they’re too derivative and generally play on the same tried and true formula. Some gems have slipped through (The Cabin in the Woods comes to mind,) but for the most part the genre hasn’t had the wow factor it had in the eighties. House At The End Of The Street falls into the latter category, but doesn’t even try to at least be fun. Instead it would rather play it straight, and the result [ Read More ]

House at the End of the Street Takes Us on a L.A. Murder House Tour!

House at the End of the Street Takes Us on a L.A. Murder House Tour!
Every year, there are usually a number of horror films based on or inspired by some sort of true story. The upcoming Relativity Media thriller House at the End of the Street is not based on such a story, but, if you're familiar with any number of grisly crimes in Los Angeles, it very well could be. In honor of this terrifying tale, arriving in theaters September 21, I was invited to take part in a unique tour of infamous L.A. murder houses, all of which were in very different neighborhoods scattered throughout the City of Angels.

Our evening began, fittingly, at the Museum of Death on Hollywood Boulevard, where we were shown a number of bizarre "artifacts" from the Charlie Manson killings and the Heaven's Gate mass suicide. There were also some of the most sickening images I have ever seen, taken by an L.A. woman and her

House at the End of the Street 'Lights Out' Clip
Back in July, Relativity Media was handing out House at the End of the Street flashlights at Comic-Con, which displayed the phone number (773) 451-9439. For those who called that number, and received a message from Jennifer Lawrence in character as Elissa, you also received a text saying she will "text you again when I'm in trouble." Apparently, Elissa is in trouble today, since I received another text that lead to another message resulting in this brand new clip. Check out this scene where she tries to escape from the horrific basement in her neighbor's creepy house.
