Carrie Fisher’s colorful and eclectic bedroom, offers a great insight into the late Star Wars actress’ creative mind.

Beneath cloud wallpaper, Fisher would often write and hold court in her bedroom that featured items she collected from her travels around the world.

Fisher’s home, featured in this week’s issue of People, is exactly how she left it when she died in December one day before her mother, Debbie Reynolds, who lived in the house next door.

Carrie Fisher’s Beverly Hills home is full of memorabilia from her famed career. But, she got her penchant for collecting from her mother, Debbie Reynolds.

Good Morning America meteorologist Ginger Zee took a tour of Reynolds’ California estate, which is just down the road from Fisher’s eclectic abode, and although it’s not quite as colorful as her daughter’s, the Hollywood icon’s house still has plenty of character — and characters.

Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds’ ‘Magnificent’ Collection to Be Sold at Auction as Home Readies for Sale

Fans all over the world will now have the opportunity to own a piece of Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds‘ legacy.

The Profiles in History auction house announced Thursday that over 1,500 of the two late actresses’ personal artifacts will be going up for sale starting Sept. 23. The auction house also said that a portion of the proceeds will benefit The Thalians, Reynolds’ charity, as well as The Jed Foundation, an organization chosen by Fisher’s daughter, Billie Lourd.
