The Ed Zone: MSNBC’s Ed Schultz Triumphantly Returns To Wisconsin

As fate would have it, my exclusive interview with MSNBC's Ed Schultz came just before his return to Wisconsin this week, where he began covering the protests over Gov. Scott Walker's assault on labor a year ago. Luckily, I don't have to ask Ed how he feels about the delivery, Tuesday, of over a million signatures for Walker's recall. Schultz played a major role, not just in covering the protests, but in energizing them as well. They say it's better to be lucky than good, but Ed Schultz was a little bit of both this past year.

Why Lindsay Lohan Landed On Grover's 'Naughty' List

Grover Norquist targeted actress Lindsay Lohan for "costing all taxpayers so much money" on Americans For Tax Reform's annual "Naughty and Nice List."

In an interview with Newsmax released Sunday, Norquist expanded on the "naughty" on his organization's list. "Oh dear, there's so many. I mean, [President Barack] Obama for killing too many jobs. Lindsay Lohan for costing all taxpayers so much money every time she goes to court -- or forgets to go to court. We have Frank Wolf, a Republican who called for 2 trillion dollars in tax increases -- that was unfortunate," he said. He added the super committee to the list for trying to raise taxes.

Rep. Frank Wolf (R-Va.) blasted Norquist on the House floor last October for being "a roadblock to realistically reforming our tax code" because of the Atr Taxpayer Protection Pledge not to raise taxes. Wolf added that he didn't "support

Bs Alert: Mickey Mouse And Adolf Hitler Have Not Joined Scott Walker Recall Effort

There's an almost irresistible story circulating on the internet that seems to suggest that petitions for the recall of Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker have been signed by the likes of Mickey Mouse and Adolf Hitler, and that those signatures will be counted in that recall effort. It's the kind of story that makes for ideal two-minute filler on 24-hour news outlets, so before it gets a head of steam, let's look beyond the overreaching headline ("Mickey Mouse, Adolf Hitler Allowed On Wis. Recall Petitions") and vague copy, to what is actually a run-of-the-mill process story.

Casting Bits: 50 Cent in ‘Frozen Ground’, Betsy Brandt and Kevin Nash in ‘Magic Mike’, Ashley Bell in ‘Last Exorcism 2′ and ‘Chasing Shakespeare’
[1] Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson hasn't exactly blown anyone away with his acting chops, but the guy who once got shot 9 (or was it 3? [2] Either way) times and lived to tale the tale isn't about to get scared off by a couple of negative reviews. He's already got three films lined up for next year, and he's just landed one more: Frozen Ground. Written and directed by Scott Walker, the film is based on the true story of Alaskan serial killer Robert Hansen, who murdered at least 17 victims over the course of twelve years. Jackson will be playing an '80s-era pimp, which producer Randall Emmett describes as a "substantial role." He joins a cast that already includes John Cusack as Hansen, Nicolas Cage as a state trooper, and Vanessa Hudgens as the escaped victim who helps catch Hansen. Frozen Ground will begin shooting in Anchorage next month. [The Playlist [3]] After the jump, a

John Cusack, Nicolas Cage, Vanessa Hudgens and 50 Cent Cast in Serial Killer Movie

  • Fandango
So you’re the casting director for a new serial killer flick written by Scott Walker who intends to use the movie to make his feature film directorial debut. The story is based on the real life killer/predator Robert Hansen, who over the course of twelve years kidnapped, tortured, raped and killed twenty four women. So who do you cast? Four actors have signed on and they are an eclectic bunch, to say the least. John Cusack will play the killer while Nicolas Cage will take on the role of a dedicated Alaska State Trooper, who comes across a teen who survived Hansen’s attack. She’ll be played by Vanessa Hudgens, who continues to break away from her High School Musical stigma. Added to this mix is rapper Curtis ‘50 Cent’ Jackson, who will play a,...

Hunted Vanessa Hudgens an Ice Cold Survivor

Vanessa Hudgens is moving further away from her High School Musical roots as she takes on a ripped-from-the-headlines story in Frozen Ground, which also stars Nicolas Cage and John Cusack.

Hudgens showed a little talent in the abysmal SuckerPunch, shined a little brighter in Beastly, and even cut her hair for the upcoming Gimme Shelter, but Deadline brings word that she’s putting her acting skills to the test in the new thriller directed by Scott Walker, who also wrote the script.

Frozen Ground is based on real-life serial killer Robert Hansen, who abducted more than 24 women in 12 years. After kidnapping them, he’d fly them to Alaska, where he would then turn them loose, hunt them down, and kill them. In what has to be the greatest casting shock in history, Cusack has been tapped to play Hansen.

Hudgens’ character is based on Cindy Paulson,
