New Images from and Synopses for ‘Bullet to the Head,’ ‘Rock of Ages,’ ‘Project X,’ and ‘The Apparition’

26 December 2011 8:18 PM, PST | The Film Stage | See recent The Film Stage news »

As the year draws to a close, Warner Bros. is beginning to look forward, as they’ve provided a few new images and synopses for choice options in their 2012 slate. This crop, only a small portion of their offerings for the next twelve months, consists of Bullet to the Head, Rock of Ages, Project X, and The Apparition. Nothing exhibited here is a big revelation for those who’ve been following the films for a few months — although I did learn that a movie titled “The Apparition” is coming out — but a new picture or two never hurt anybody. Now, let’s get down to business.

Up above you can see the picture for Bullet; you can read the specifics below.

In theaters on April 13

Director: Walter Hill

Writers: Screenplay by Alessandro Camon

Based on the graphic novel Bullet to the Head, written by Matz and illustrated by Colin Wilson

Producer: Joel Silver, »

New Images and Official Synopses for Project X, Bullet To The Head, Rock Of Ages and The Apparition

25 December 2011 12:52 PM, PST | Collider.com | See recent Collider.com news »

Warner Bros. has released new images and official synopses for director Nima Nourizadeh's Project X, Walter Hill's Bullet to the Head, Adam Shankman's Rock of Ages, and Todd Lincoln's The Apparition.  While we've already seen an extremely funny trailer for Project X (which was produced by Todd Phillips) and a mediocre first trailer for Rock of Ages, WB has yet to release any footage from Bullet to the Head (which stars a shirtless Sylvester Stallone) and The Apparition (which was originally scheduled for release last year).  With these first images being released, I'd imagine we'll be getting the first trailers very soon.  As a big fan of Walter Hill (48 Hours, Brewster's Millions, The Warriors, The Driver), I'm really hoping Bullet to the Head is awesome.  Hit the jump for more. New UK poster for teen comedy ‘Project X’

19 November 2011 4:02 AM, PST | Blogomatic3000 | See recent Blogomatic3000 news »

Project X is a brand new teen comedy produced by Joel Silver (The Matrix) and The Hangover director Todd Phillips. Directed by Nima Nourizadeh, the film stars Thomas Mann, Oliver Cooper and Jonathan Daniel Brown and follows a group of friends who set out to throw the most epic 17th birthday party ever, which as usual gets completely out of control.

The film is apparently shot “Blair Witch style” from the perspective of the digital cameras that the kids have with them… Check out the trailer here.

Warner Bros. have released a new UK poster for their party movie, Project X. The movie shows the kind of carnage that can happen when your parents go away and leave you with a house to trash! We’re however wondering if this persona is drunk as the cups around him would suggest or is he dead?!

Project X is produced by the man behind The Hangover movies, Director Todd Phillips although with this one, he takes a Producing credit. Nima Nourizadeh directs this one with a cast that includes Thomas Mann, Jonathan Daniel Brown, Oliver Cooper, Dax Flame, Nichole Bloom, Alex Rose Wiesel and Alexis Knapp.

What happens when you’re 17 and your parents go away? Todd Phillips’ Project X – First Trailer Arrives

3 November 2011 2:15 PM, PDT | Obsessed with Film | See recent Obsessed with Film news »

Todd Phillips, the director of Old School and The Hangover brings us the latest in the line of classic raunchy comedies, this time in the form of the Nima Nourizadeh directed Project X.

The film follows the latest Hollywood trend of “documented” films, this time without any terrifying children or noises in the night. Alright, I lied there will be noises in the night as the film follows a group of young friends who try to live the best version of their lives for just one night. The film stars Miles Teller, Oliver Cooper, Jonathan Daniel Brown, Kirby Bliss Blanton, Dax Flame, Nichole O’Connor, Thomas Mann, Alexis Knapp and Jillian Reynold.

As far as looks go, the trailer in a sense describes itself. Babes, booze, music, police, babes… whoops sorry about that. The trailer sets off perfectly with almost a dark ominous introduction leading up to Kid Cudi’s »

Project X (2012) Teaser Trailer: Nima Nourizadeh, Todd Phillips

Project X Teaser Trailer. Nima Nourizadeh‘s Project X (2012) teaser trailer, produced by Todd Phillips, stars Thomas Mann, Jonathan Daniel Brown, Oliver Cooper, Nichole Bloom, and Martin Klebba. Project X‘s plot synopsis: “Three high school seniors throw a birthday party to make a name for themselves. As the night progresses, things begin to spiral insanely out of control as word of the party spreads.”

This looks pretty badass, the party in Old School mixed with The Hangover and MTV.

On testing screenings for Project X and the feel of the film plus a Michael Bay joke:

Reports out of test screenings have called Project X “the new Superbad” and similar superlatives.

'Project X' Trailer: The 'Paranormal Activity' Of Party Movies?

2 November 2011 1:21 PM, PDT | MTV Movies Blog | See recent MTV Movies Blog news »

After "Paranormal Activity 3" scared up a big opening weekend, it was clear that the found footage genre isn't going anywhere anytime soon. The latest addition to the club is "Project X" from producer Todd Phillips, the director of "Old School" and "The Hangover."

This time, the camera doesn't document a demon or a witch or giant monster destroying New York City. The disaster this time around happens to be a giant party destroying a suburban block.

"Project X" follows a group of high school students, the main character played by Thomas Mann, who throw the most out of control party of all time for their one chance to be cool. It's kind of like if the people in "Cloverfield" never left the apartment from the beginning. The trailer shows off a party that doesn't look that much crazier than a relatively big high school party. Everyone is dancing. There are raging hormones abound, »

Project X Trailer Crashes In

2 November 2011 12:25 PM, PDT | EmpireOnline | See recent EmpireOnline news »

A celebration featuring a group of friends that gets quickly out of hand. Sexy girls, offbeat guys and police involvement. Given Todd Phillips’ name in the credits, you might be forgiven for thinking that this is a stealth trailer for The Hangover 3, but in actual fact it’s a promo for a new comedy Phillips signed on to produce with Joel Silver called Project X. You can take a look over at Apple. With Phillips and Silver gathering a cast of young up-and-comers including Thomas Mann, Jonathan Daniel Brown, Oliver Cooper and Nichole O’Connor, along with ads director Nima Nourizadeh, the aim here appears to have been to apply the found footage genre to a madcap high school comedy. So, in many ways, it’s sort of The Hangover meets American Pie by way of Paranormal Activity. So… Parahormonal Activity, then? The plot finds three teens throwing what they »

'Project X' Trailer: There's a Lot of Licking in This High School Found Footage Party Flick

2 November 2011 12:01 PM, PDT | Rope of Silicon | See recent Rope Of Silicon news »

Warner Bros. has debuted the first trailer for their once mysterious found footage film Project X, which seems to feature a lot of licking and a fair amount of mayhem as a group of high school students set out to throw a name-making house party that gets completely out of control. From what I can tell, the trailer appears to try to be selling some sort of Superbad meets Super 8 shot in first person and I can't necessarily say I'm buying it. The film was directed by first-timer Nima Nourizadeh with Todd Phillips (The Hangover) producing and a fleet of no names starring including Miles Teller, Alexis Knapp, Thomas Mann, Jonathan Daniel Brown, Kirby Bliss Blanton, Nichole O'Connor, Oliver Cooper and Dax Flame. I gave the trailer a watch and there's really nothing to be spoiled that isn't described in the R-rating reason which goes like this: "For crude and sexual content throughout, »

First Trailer for Todd Phillips-produced Comedy Project X

2 November 2011 11:53 AM, PDT | Collider.com | See recent Collider.com news »

The first trailer for the secretive comedy Project X has been unveiled. The film was produced by The Hangover director Todd Phillips, and the project has been a bit of a mystery as Phillips compiled a cast of relative unknowns (many found through an open casting call.) for the low-budget comedy. Now we’ve got our first look at the pic, and it looks like 90 minutes of insane debauchery. It appears to be filmed in the “found-footage” style that’s so popular nowadays, but instead of catching monsters and ghosts on camera, we get naked ladies and bongs. I’m definitely intrigued to see more, as it looks like it should be a pretty wild ride. The MPAA tag alone reads like a laundry list of bad behavior. Hit the jump to watch the trailer. ‘Project X’ Trailer: A Block-Rocking Mashup of ‘Jackass’ and ‘The Hangover’?

2 November 2011 11:45 AM, PDT | Slash Film | See recent Slash Film news »

Over the past year we've heard small news here and there about Project X, a high school party comedy from producer Todd Phillips (director of Old School and The Hangover) and first-time feature director Nima Nourizade. The film follows a high school party that grows to massive size, and eventually gets out of control. Reports [1] out of test screenings have called Project X "the new Superbad" and similar superlatives. Now there is a trailer that suggests that Project X will really be like watching one long high school party. I can't decide if that's a good thing or not -- see for yourself after the break. So in the '80s and '90s there were the giant staged MTV Spring Break specials, and now we have this vision of the ultimate underage party, enhanced by Central Casting models and a budget that wouldn't feed the electricians on a Michael Bay movie, »
