Kevin McDermott(VI)
- Actor
Kevin McDermott grew up in Riverside, California where he lived with
his mother and maternal grandparents until he joined the United States
Air Force at age 18. At a very young age, Kevin had a love of
performing, participating in every elementary school play he could, as
well as joining the band. His love for being in front of an audience
carried over into middle school and high school, where he landed the
lead role in "You're A Good Man Charlie Brown" after the intended lead
dropped out. Following high school, he took an extended hiatus from
acting due to joining the military and moving to Washington state. It
was there that he rekindled his love for performing and began doing
local and regional commercials. In 2002, he was cast as mobster in the
film "Whacked" with Patrick Muldoon and Carmen Electra. He continued to
perform in local community theater productions in and around Spokane,
Washington, but it wasn't until he moved to North Carolina and worked
with Heather Hale on her film "Snitch" that he finally got serious and
sought representation to help him pursue his goal of being a working
actor. Since signing with a regional talent agency, he's landed local,
regional and national commercials, as well as roles in independent
films, student films, documentaries and television shows. He's known on
set to be happy, helpful and constantly smiling. He's stated this is
because he's never happier in his employed life than when he's on set.
