- Executive Producer of the 2014 Academy-award winning documentary The Lady in Number 6, Frederic Bohbot founded Bunbury Films in 2002. His journey began with the intention of making a single film, Once a Nazi... (2006), which garnered critical acclaim and set the stage for his continued success. Expanding Bunbury's production slate, Bohbot went on to produce several noteworthy documentaries, including Leaving the Fold, Triumph of the Wall and The Walrus and the Whistleblower.
In 2013, Bohbot achieved a significant milestone with the release of The Lady in Number 6, a short documentary that won the Academy Award. Building on this accomplishment, he produced a number of other documentaries and ventured into fiction filmmaking with Boost which received 5 Canadian screen award nominations, winning the award for Best Actor as well as an incredible 8 nominations at the Quebec Cinema awards, a record for an indie English language film in Quebec.
As of 2023, Bohbot has produced over 25 one-off documentaries.
During the Summer of 2023, Frederic Bohbot is preparing the release of two short fiction films, Reine des Punks and Soleil de nuit (Palm Springs Shortfest winner for Best international film) as well as his second feature fiction film, L'Ouragan F.Y.T. featuring an A-list cast and is set for release in early 2024. At the same time he's in production on the documentary feature Rebirth of a Nation and actively developing new content for television, web, and theatrical releases.
