‘Office Christmas Party’ DVD Review

Stars: Jason Bateman, Olivia Munn, T.J. Miller, Jennifer Aniston, Kate McKinnon, Courtney B. Vance, Jillian Bell, Rob Corddry, Vanessa Bayer, Randall Park, Sam Richardson, Jamie Chung | Written by Justin Malen, Laura Solon, Dan Mazer | Directed by Josh Gordon, Will Speck

Josh Gordon and Will Speck, co-directors of one of, if not The, greatest ice-skating comedy ever (Blades of Glory), re-team for another buddy comedy that once again mixes gross-out humour and heartfelt laughs – this time in a story set in the world of office politics. Think Animal House for the tech generation…

Reminiscent of the Seth Rogen flick The Night Before, Office Christmas Party is very much in the same vein: an ensemble cast in a crazy scenario, featuring raunchy comedy and some totally outrageous situations and it’s all set over the Christmas holiday season. It also shares a similar taste in songs, in fact the two films could

Lance Bass is the self-proclaimed “biggest Big Brother” fan out there -- but that doesn’t mean he’s signing up for the first-ever U.S. edition of Celebrity Big Brother this winter.

“I’m not doing it,” he reveals to Et. “I am the biggest Big Brother fan ever. I want to play this game so badly, but it’s just, I’m not going to be in a house that long and not get paid $10 million. So, if you wanna pay me $10 million, I’m in!”

CBS’s celebrity edition of the game will premiere in early 2018 for a limited run, with famous faces moving into the Big Brother house for the first time -- and Bass and his husband, Michael Turchin, have some dream casting in mind.

“We’re so excited,” Bass admits. “I would love to see Kathy Griffin, for multiple reasons. I think she would just be great television, and she loves the

Trailer Watch: Mindy Kaling Has a Lot to Be Grateful For in “The Mindy Project’s” Final Season

The Mindy Project

Exsqueeze me, but did you know “The Mindy Project’s” sixth and final season is about to premiere? A new trailer for the Hulu comedy is here to remind you, and it seems like our favorite Ob-gyn is feeling reflective. “I have a lot to be thankful for,” Mindy Lahiri (Mindy Kaling) says in the spot. “I got a job, I got a great son, ‘Will & Grace’ is back and bitchier than ever. I’m doing good!”

Mindy’s friends and colleagues are still as delightfully inappropriate as ever, with Morgan (Ike Barinholtz) making comments about group sex, Colette (Fortune Feimster) inviting Mindy to join her “team at any time,” and a former office romance being rekindled.

Kaling created “The Mindy Project.” The “Office” alumna has lined up a number of high-profile acting gigs, including “Ocean’s Eight,” the all-female, star-studded “Ocean’s 11” reboot, Ava DuVernay’s adaptation of beloved sci-fi novel “A Wrinkle in Time,” and Nisha Ganatra’s “Late Night,” a comedy about a late night host and her first female writer. Kaling penned the latter.

The 25 Best TV Comedy Ensembles of the Last 25 Years, Ranked
A great ensemble creates a mysterious bond between a show and its viewers. The chemistry shared on screen brings with it a certain level of comfort.

But to refer to this quality as some kind of supernatural power does a disservice to the men and women who forge it. There is the talent of each individual performer to consider: If any of them falter, the whole dynamic falls apart. It’s a dynamic that requires work, too. Whether it’s bonding in real-life or being a good listener on set, chemistry is a science for these casts; it’s made, not found.

Then there’s the versatility of expanding these connections beyond just one or two cast members, but an entire ensemble of six or so series regulars. The best ensembles work no matter who’s paired up in a scene, and it feels like the TV can barely contain

20 People Who Are Mad as Hell About Rachel Lindsay's Pick on The Bachelorette

Fans of The Bachelorette waited weeks on end for the highly anticipated finale of Rachel Lindsay's dramatic season, but the 32-year-old attorney's final rose went to someone some audience members weren't expecting: Bryan. To a good chunk of Bachelor Nation, it seemed obvious that Rachel had fallen in love with the other final contestant and fan favorite, Peter, but since he wouldn't propose (he felt they still needed time to get to know each other after only two months), Bryan was the one to get down on one knee. Although Rachel seems truly happy with her choice, it didn't stop Bachelorette fans from airing their (hilarious) grievances with the finale on Twitter.
