Sabina Kuzenbayeva was born and raised in Kazakhstan.
She graduated with a bachelor's degree in journalism from the Kazakh American University in 2005 (Almaty, Kazakhstan) and received a master's degree in Film and Television Production from the New York Film Academy in 2008 (New York, USA). Upon graduation from the Academy, Sabina founded Chaplin Cinemas in her hometown of Almaty, which became the second largest cinema chain in Kazakhstan.
To facilitate company growth and development, Sabina sold the majority stake of Chaplin Cinemas to ADM Capital funds, a group that includes the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and Kazyna Capital Management.
As CEO of Chaplin Cinemas (2009-2015), she has partnered directly with major Hollywood studios and independent film companies. Both local and international media highlight Sabina's accomplishments in revitalizing Kazakhstani cinema market. The business model that Sabina has implemented has significantly affected cinema market in the region, changing the landscape for the future.
As highly energetic person, Sabina has simultaneously taken other took other duties and jobs, such as becoming a CIS strategy consultant for the Emirate Holding Company.
With regards to film production, Sabina has been an executive producer of "Lave" movie and a co-author of "The Second Wife" movie, both Kazakhstani movies. Throughout diverse professional career, Sabina has always strives for excellence, creativity and sustainable development.
Her most recent job includes being a Creative Producer of the EXPO 2017 Astana International Exposition in Astana, Kazakhstan.
