29 April 2015 5:30 AM, PDT | Dark Horizons | See recent Dark Horizons news »

20th Century Fox has partnered with comic publisher Boom! Studios to create a one-shot comic that acts as a prequel to the upcoming "Hitman: Agent 47," the second attempt to adapt the famed video game franchise to the big screen.

The comic sees Agent 47 hunting a deadly adversary in a story that leads directly into the opening scene of the new film. This marks the first time the character will appear in a comic. F.J. DeSanto ("Cyborg 009") has penned the comic which will have art by Jesus Hervas.

Rupert Friend, Zachary Quinto and Hannah Ware star in the film which is being produced by Charles Gordon, Adrian Askarieh, and Alex Young. The movie hits cinemas August 28th.

'Hitman: Agent 47' Poster Flaunts One Epic Gun Collection

7 April 2015 5:37 PM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

While we still have more than four months left until Hitman: Agent 47 hits theaters, IGN has a new poster for this video game adaptation, which is fitting since today is April 7 (4/7), honoring the unnamed hitman's identity. Rupert Friend stars as the title character, who is seen standing in front of, quite literally, a wall of guns. Surely this highly-trained agent won't need all of these weapons to take out his enemies, but it never hurts to be prepared.

Hitman: Agent 47 centers on an elite assassin who was genetically engineered from conception to be the perfect killing machine, and is known only by the last two digits on the barcode tattooed on the back of his neck. He is the culmination of decades of research &#173 and forty-six earlier Agent clones -- endowing him with unprecedented strength, speed, stamina and intelligence. New Hitman: Agent 47 Poster Flaunts A Ferocious Wall Of Firepower

7 April 2015 10:58 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

IGN has pulled back the blood-red curtain on an all-new poster for 20th Century Fox’s forthcoming video game adaptation, Hitman: Agent 47.

Starring Homeland alum Rupert Friend as the titular, reticent and all-round lethal assassin, the film is based on Eidos’ long-running series. With Aleksander Bach behind the lens, it’s understood that this latest cinematic interpretation won’t consider the middling 2009 movie as canon, instead writing a new chapter in Agent 47’s bloody history.

This modern retelling also has space for Star Trek Into Darkness and American Horror Story‘s Zachary Quinto, who is on board to play one of the movie’s overarching villains – a cog in part of a mega-corporation hellbent on monetizing Agent 47’s precious DNA. Oldboy‘s Hannah Ware is also part of the cast, and going off of the trailers released to date, it seems that the actress will be a potential ally »

New Agent 47 Poster Will Make Hitman Fans Weep

3 March 2015 2:56 AM, PST | Obsessed with Film | See recent Obsessed with Film news »

Judging by the latest one sheet for Agent 47, that familiar trend of having heroes turn their back on us doesn’t look to be dying any time soon. On quick inspection though, now might not the best time to give the chrome-domed death bringer a tap on the shoulder, what with the small army and copy and pasted choppah’s he’s facing off against.

Looking to be as stealthy as a wet fart in a crowded lift, Rupert Friend’s take on the iconic assassin sees Agent 47 hunting for clues to his origins, which sees him set his sights on Katia Van Dees (Hannah Ware), the daughter of the scientist responsible for the ‘Agent Program’. Keeping her out of harms way is John Smith (Zachary Quinto), who is definitely a bad guy with a name as despicably dull as that.

First ‘Hitman: Agent 47′ trailer reminds us that ‘John Wick’ is a great movie

11 February 2015 10:27 AM, PST | SoundOnSight | See recent SoundOnSight news »

One man against many. Check. Looking into his past while fighting through said men. Check. One liners before he murders people. Check. It’s all there in the trailer for Hitman: Agent 47. And with the likes of Taken, The Equalizer, and John Wick owning cinemas recently, this all seems a bit too familiar for a franchise that didn’t do well the first time.

In this film, an assassin (Robert Friend) teams up with a woman (Hannah Ware) to help her find her father and uncover the mysteries of her ancestry. Hitman is a popular video game series that made its feature film debut in 2007 with a movie of the same name and starring Timothy Olyphant. This time around, the cast is led by Friend and Ware, but also includes Star Trek‘s Zachary Quinto and Game of ThronesCiaran Hinds.

Rupert Friend Is Both Hot and Terrifying in the Hitman: Agent 47 Trailer

11 February 2015 8:52 AM, PST | BuzzSugar | See recent BuzzSugar news »

Yes, Hitman was a 2007 movie starring Timothy Olyphant. No, this is not that movie. Based on a character from the video game of the same name, Hitman: Agent 47 is a reboot starring Rupert Friend as the titular assassin. Equipped with superior intelligence and fighting skills than the average human, Agent 47 is the perfect killing machine. He teams up with a woman (Hannah Ware) to help her uncover her past, but of course, some big bads get in the way. Honestly, this trailer looks like a lot of action and not a ton of substance, but that's cool if you're into it. Zachary Quinto also stars, and the movie is out on Aug. 28. Take a look at the trailer below, and check out all the other trailers for 2015 movies. »
