When we first reported on Sony Pictures' Sausage Party back in September, it wasn't immediately clear if co-writers Seth Rogen and Jonah Hill will also have voice roles in the R-rated animated comedy. This is one Sausage Party I would love to attend. Last summer, This Is The End proved that moviegoers will turn up en masse to see a lot of funny people doing crazy things on-screen, even in projects far out enough to feature cannibal gangs, demonic genitalia, high-speed rapturing and the Backstreet Boys (in under ten minutes of screen time). And so, confirmation that some members of that apoca-comedy’s principal cast, including Seth Rogen, James Franco and Jonah Hill, will be joining forces for another project shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to anyone who took a peek at just how much their last venture picked up at the box-office.
What’s more surprising are the specifics what they’ve planned next. According to TheWrap, Rogen, Franco and Hill will topline a raunchy animated comedy called Sausage Party, alongside Kristen Wiig, Edward Norton, Michael Cera, Nick Kroll and David Krumholtz.
The flick will follow a heroic sausage »

The This Is the End gang is getting back together—and then some. Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, and Evan Goldberg have been developing a hard-r animated film called Sausage Party for some time, and when Sony Pictures agreed to produce the pic alongside Annapurna Pictures last year, we assumed that Rogen, Hill, and some of their regular collaborators would be leading the voice cast. We assumed correctly, as The Wrap now reports that Rogen, Hill, and James Franco will lead the voice cast for the film, with Michael Cera, Kristen Wiig, Edward Norton, Nick Kroll, and David Krumholtz also lending their voice talents to the pic. Hit the jump for more. Though The Wrap’s report doesn’t have any information with regards to the characters that the aforementioned actors will be bringing to life, if you need any further convincing of Sausage Party’s eventual greatness, the official synopsis »

Seth Rogen and co-writing/producing/directing partner Evan Goldberg announced last September that they were throwing a Sausage Party. By which, we mean, they’d cooked up the idea for a raunchy animated film and were looking to serve it up to willing audiences. They’ve clearly sent invites to all of their friends, and Jonah Hill, James Franco, Michael Cera, Nick Kroll, David Kumholtz and Kristen Wiig have replied yes to the RSVP.They’re not the only names along for the ride: Edward Norton has also agreed to spend time in a recording booth, though we don’t know who anyone will be playing yet. You’ve got to figure, too, that a good portion of the rest of the This Is The End crowd will show up for at least a cameo.Rogen and Goldberg co-wrote the script with Kyle Hunter and Ariel Shaffir and are content to simply produce this one, »
