- Candice was born in Atlanta, GA, but spent the first 7 years of her life in many places (in and out of the US) as an army brat. She then relocated back to the south, where she graduated from Druid Hills High School. She came to NYC when she was 17 and graduated from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts at age 20.
During her professional career, she helped found an independent theatre group, Flux Theatre Ensemble and co-wrote/co-produced the play 36:24:36, based on her and her castmates experiences with eating disorders.

- Candice has been a certified yoga teacher since 2005.
- Candice was trained as a life coach in the area of sexuality and interpersonal relationships.
- Candice went to Leogane, Haiti in April 2010 with All Hands Volunteers to assist in helping rebuild the city.
- Candice played the double bass in her school orchestra for 7 years.
- She is the granddaughter of Yvonne Gilbert, who starred in the Herschell Gordon Lewis cult classic, Two Thousand Maniacs!.
