Wendy Murdoch's sophomore film as producer close to landing at Sony Journey of a Thousand Miles is based on the memoir by Lang Lang, chronicling his climb to become the top pianist as well as the challenges he faced within the Chinese culture as well as his family. This marks the second film from Murdoch and producer Florence Sloan after 2011's Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, which Fox Searchlight Pictutres distributed. That film starred Bingbing Li, Gianna Jun, Vivian Wu and also included Hugh Jackman. Pic earned $1.3 million domestically, but overseas, it made over $10 million. »
