"The Bling Ring" features unruly teenagers robbing the homes of A-list celebrities, so it's only appropriate that the movie's soundtrack presents a lineup of A-list musical acts to underscore the glamorous film.
Sofia Coppola's highly anticipated feature, based on a string of true-life robberies that took place in the homes of Los Angeles celebs, premiered Wednesday at the Cannes Film Festival. The music used throughout comprises a fitting ode to wannabe glamor -- Kanye West's "Power," Sleigh Bells' "Crown on the Ground" and 2 Chainz's "Money Machine" are just a few of the tracks that round out the collection. A track from Coppola's husband's band Phoenix also made the soundtrack's shortlist.
Even more fitting is the song selected to close "The Bling Ring": Frank Ocean and Earl Sweatshirt's collaboration "Super Rich Kids." Part of the song's refrain finds Ocean singing, "The maids come around too much »

While Rebel Wilson’s hosting gig at the MTV Movie Awards this past Sunday may not have been a hit with everyone, her performance with fellow Pitch Perfect cast members must have struck a chord. Universal announced today during its presentation at CinemaCon that sequel to the 2012 sleeper hit is now in development for a planned 2015 release, and original writer Kay Cannon (30 Rock) is back on board as well. Pitch Perfect focused on the world of collegiate a capella groups, detailing the struggles of an all-female group, the Barden Bellas, who desperately want to redeem themselves at the national championships. The cast featured Wilson, Anna Kendrick, Anna Camp, Skylar Astin, Brittany Snow, Ester Dean, Alexis Knapp, Hanna Mae Lee, and Ben Platt. No word on if the entire cast, director Jason Moore, or producer and cast member Elizabeth Banks are returning, but as development progresses, we can expect those announcements to be released. »

Ferrell vs. Plaza popcorn-wrestling match. Who is the real comedic genius? See the preceding article: Mma '13 Winners: From Tom Hiddleston to Taylor Lautner The highlight of the MTV Movie Awards ceremony this year wasn't anyone's moving speech, an expletive -- and there were a few of those -- or Taylor Lautner's fat suit now that he's 21 he's been drinking and eating too much. Instead, that somewhat dubious honor goes to Safety Not Guaranteed and Parks and Recreation performer Aubrey Plaza, who tried to wrest Will Ferrell's Comedic Genius Golden Popcorn during the comedian's acceptance speech. Pictured above: Ferrell and Plaza fight for popcorn onstage. Please scroll down to check out the video of the popcorn wrestling match. The cast of your secret (or not-so-secret) favorite movie, "Pitch Perfect," reunited and crushed it at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards with an all-new mashup. Sources (read: you) said it was aca-amazing.
Rebel Wilson — who pulled triple duty at the ceremony as host, performer and winner — Skylar Astin, Alexis Knapp, Esther Dean and Ben Platt gathered onstage at Sony Pictures Studio in Culver City, Calif. to perform an a capella medley of Miley Cyrus' "The Climb," Eminem's "Lose Yourself," Alicia Keys' "Girl on Fire" and Macklemore's "Thrift Shop."
It was, as Macklemore would say, f**king awesome.
News of the reunion was first rumored in early March, when Wilson tweeted that she had been talking to her castmates from the 2012 Jason Moore about dusting off their microphones once again at the awards ceremony.
"I've been talking to the Pitch Perfect cast about reuniting for a number at MTV Movie Awards. »

The "Pitch Perfect" reunion fans have been waiting for since it was announced that Rebel Wilson was hosting the MTV Movie Awards finally took place on Sunday night in Los Angeles. Wilson and fellow cast members Skylar Astin, Brittany Snow, Anna Camp, Alexis Knapp, Esther Dean and Ben Platt all performed at the start of the 2013 MTV Movie Awards.
The actors performed an original mashup of songs, including Macklemore's "Thrift Shop," Miley Cyrus' "The Climb," Eminem's "Lose Yourself" and Alicia Keys' "Girl on Fire."
In "Pitch Perfect," Wilson and the other actresses were part of the a capella group The Barden Bellas, an underdog squad who competed against the highly lauded Treblemakers (Astin, Platt and Adam Devine were among the members). Star Anna Kendrick played the de facto leader of the Barden Bellas in Jason Moore's sleeper 2012 hit, but the actress could not attend the MTV Movie Awards reunion. »

Rebel Wilson returned to her singing role in "Pitch Perfect" for the opening stage number at the MTV Movie Awards. That role, however, never involved nunchucks, insofar as we know. This time, it did. Wilson joined her castmates like Skylar Astin and Ester Dean for the musical number, which combined tracks like Eminem's "Lose Yourself," Miley Cyrus "The Climb" and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' "Thrift Shop." Wilson took on the Miley tune alone, and it went on for, like, two minutes. It was awful. And it was also kinda great. What also may ring a bell from the movie (Spoiler Alert), Wilson »

The MTV Movie Awards (airing live this Sunday, April 14 at 9/8c on MTV) always provide some interesting antics for us to tune in for, and sometimes those can be lesbianish. With this year's Pitch Perfect reunion happening, we'll pulling for Anna Kendrick and Brittany Snow to reenact their shower scene and really commit this time. Or maybe Ester Dean's lesbian character will introduce a girlfriend. You never know on this awards show! Here are some of our favorite lesbian moments past.
In 1993, Sharon Stone won Best Female Performance for her role as the bisexual vagina in Basic Instinct.
Gina Gershon and Jennifer Tilly were up for Best Kiss in Bound in 1997, but didn't take home the trophy. The next year Chasing Amy's Joey Lauren Adams and Carmen Llywelyn also lost, as did Matt Dillon, Denise Richards »

Sometimes you run into one of those movies that knows what it is and embraces it with full force. Often that is the case for the turn your brain off action thrillers, but those types of films can also be found in other genres. Such is the case for the corky comedy Pitch Perfect. Riding on the coattails of the cultural phenomenon that is Glee,Pitch Perfect tells the story of an all-girls collegiate acapella singing group that is attempting to beat the odds and win Nationals. It comes off as a recipe for disaster; another studio film attempting to jump on the current zeitgeist hoping it will garner an audience. While that may have been the reason for its creation the »
