Brenda Pontiff is an actor, screenwriter, and stand-up comic. She studied acting at Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX, as well as Kansas State University. She was also an adjunct theatre professor at the University of Houston-Downtown. During graduate school, she toured the country with The Complex Improv Theatre and returned to Texas to work as an actor, writer, and sketch director for The Houston Comedy Workshop. It was there, in the infamous Comix Annex, where she started her stand-up career. After significant recognition for her rom-com spec script, Zero Drag, she began providing A-list screenwriters and producers with rewrites and joke polish. Today, she performs around the country as a stand-up comic.
