'Dolphin Tale 2' Trailer
It has been several years since young Sawyer Nelson (Nathan Gamble) and the dedicated team at the Clearwater Marine Hospital, headed by Dr. Clay Haskett (Harry Connick Jr.), rescued Winter. With the help of Dr. Cameron McCarthy (Morgan Freeman), who developed a unique prosthetic tail for the injured dolphin, they were able to save her life. Yet their fight is not over. Winter's surrogate mother, the very elderly dolphin Panama, has passed away, leaving Winter without the only poolmate she has ever known. However, the loss of Panama may have even greater repercussions for Winter, who, according to Usda regulations, cannot be housed alone, as dolphins' social behavior requires them to be paired with other dolphins. Time is running out to find a companion for her before the team at Clearwater loses their beloved Winter to another aquarium. Take a look at the first footage from this family drama as

'Magic City' series premiere: Will Starz's glamorous retro drama make good?

In "Magic City," the new original Starz series starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Miami is hot and Morgan as hotelier Ike Evans wants to introduce America -- and us -- to the city's charms.

In the series-opening episode we meet Evans and his microcosmic world of retro glitter glamour at the Miramar Playa hotel, which he owns and oversees. Things are swell. It's New Year's Eve 1959 and Frank Sinatra is set to take the stage at the Miramar to ring in the new decade. But without something to sour the mix there wouldn't be a show.

In this case, the sour is amply provided by Danny Huston as mobster Ben Diamond who, we get the feeling, financed a big portion of the Miramar Playa and isn't content with being a silent partner. In the opening episode he rattles Ike's cage, but comes through in the end by averting a strike that

'Magic City's' Jeffrey Dean Morgan: It took a lie to get him to return to TV

As writer, creator and executive producer, Mitch Glazer has taken his childhood memories of growing up in Miami Beach in the late 1950s and translated them into the gritty, sexy new drama "Magic City."

The series, premiering Friday, April 6, on Starz, captures the wealth, power and turmoil of the time, from the Kennedys and the Rat Pack to anti-Castro forces and the mob. At the center of it all is Ike Evans, the charming king of Miami Beach whose drive and ambition turned the former cabana boy into the owner of the luxurious Miramar Playa Hotel.

It took a character such as Ike and a small lie to get Jeffrey Dean Morgan ("Grey's Anatomy") to return to serial TV.

"I was lied to initially by my agents, who told me it was a miniseries, which is why I was reading it in the first place, because there was no way

Jeffrey Dean Morgan On His TV Return With 'Magic City'

Jeffrey Dean Morgan On His TV Return With 'Magic City'
Although Jeffrey Dean Morgan has stolen countless scenes in movies as diverse as "P.S. I Love You" and "Watchmen," the actor -- perhaps best known for playing Izzie Stevens' dying love and heart patient Denny Duquette on "Grey's Anatomy" -- has always seemed to be bubbling under the surface of name recognition. TV has been a little more receptive to his charms, after the 2005-06 season put him on the map with a trio of breakthrough roles in quick succession on "Weeds" and "Supernatural," in addition to "Grey's."

But compelling guest spots as heartbreaking Denny and tormented father John Winchester on "Supernatural" never segued into full-time TV work, mostly because Morgan was wary of getting caught up in the grind of network TV. "I just didn't want to get bored playing a character, and that's kind of the benefit of doing films; you've lived with a character for four or five months and that's it,

'Magic City': Jeffrey Dean Morgan swanks up '50s-era Miami

Miami was apparently red hot in the late 1950s and not just because of the unrelenting Florida sun. In the news Starz series "Magic City," Jeffrey Dean Morgan leads a show that puts the luxurious fictional Miramar Playa Hotel at the center of the action.

On Wednesday (Feb. 22), Starz released the first official cast picture and "muy caliente" is an understatement. In the photo (above), Morgan and co-stars Kelly Lynch, Steven Strait, Christian Cooke, Taylor Blackwell, Elena Satine, Jessica Marais, Dominik Garcia-Lorido, Yul Vasquez, and Danny Huston give the reigning retro hotties (the cast of "Mad Men") a run for their money.

"Magic City" -- with its swank surroundings, cute clothes and mob boss storyline sounds like it could at worst be some kind of "Pan Am"/"Boardwalk Empire" mashup. At best, though, it could be a really great show.

We're hoping for the latter, of course.
