The Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will return to duty on Friday, Dec. 1 at 8/7c with a two-hour premiere, ABC announced on Saturday.
The series will then move to its regular Fridays at 9 pm timeslot on Dec. 8.

ABC entertainment chief Channing Dungey had previously told TVLine that S.H.I.E.L.D. would return as soon as Marvel’s Inhumans unspools its eight episodes in the Friday time slot and with “little interruption” in its 22-episode run.

Deadline is reporting that Natalia Cordova-Buckley has been upped to a series regular for the upcoming fifth season of ABC and Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D..
The actress portrays the character of Elena ‘Yo-Yo’ Rodriguez and made her debut in season three as a recurring guest star. She also reprised the role for the six-part web series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Slingshot, which you can watch here.

After starring in the failed spinoff pilot Marvel’s Most Wanted, EW is reporting that Nick Blood will be reprising the role of Lance Hunter in the upcoming fifth season of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on ABC.
Blood made his debut as Hunter in the second season of the show, and was last seen in the season three episode ‘Parting Shot’, where he and Bobbi Morse / Mockingbird (Adrianne Palicki) were disavowed by Coulson after being caught in Russia. There’s no word as to what brings him back for the fifth season, or how many episodes he’ll be appearing in.

Blood last aired toward the end of Season 3, when Lance and partner/ex-wife Bobbi Morse (played by Adrianne Palicki) — facing the rap for a triple-assassination on Russian soil — slipped off into “the wind” (as they say) after sharing an emotional “spy’s good-bye” with Coulson, Jemma, Mack et al.

With former Agents emerging to rejoin S.H.I.E.L.D. in season 5 (spoilery details about that over on page 2) it was only a matter of time before someone asked the erstwhile Mockingbird, Adrianne Palicki, if she might consider returning to the show.

Ibt ended up being the ones to pop the question, and the actress was very positive about the whole thing.
“If they ask me, I would absolutely come back,” she confirmed, before adding "I would absolutely make a cameo. For sure.”
She and Nick Blood were originally written out of Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. for a spinoff project, Marvel’s Most Wanted, which never came to fruition at ABC, and now Palicki is starring on The Orville. »
