Chicago – Warner Bros. on Friday launched the official Web site for “The Dark Knight Rises” at http://thedarkknightrises.warnerbros.com with an all-black screen and mysterious, tribal-like chanting. That launch ignited an online fan frenzy that marks the official beginning to the film’s new viral marketing campaign.
Upon analyzing the official Web site’s sound spectrogram, we’ve discovered the words “The Fire Rises”! The Web site http://www.thefirerises.com was registered eight days ago by DNStination and MarkMonitor Brand Protection.
A search on Twitter shows fanboys asking questions galore about these new fire-rising words. An image link to another new Web site, http://www.thedarkknightrises.com/image.html, has appeared on Twitter at https://twitter.com/#!/thefirerises.
