Jay Roth(V)
As National Executive Director of the DGA, Jay D. Roth is responsible for the daily management and oversight of all the Guild's activities, services, and operations, for the 16,500 DGA members who work in film, television, commercials, documentaries, news, sports, new media and other audiovisual genres, and live both in the United States and abroad. Prior to his position at the DGA, he was Managing Partner at Taylor, Roth, Bush & Geffner, where he spent 25 years representing the entertainment industry guilds and labor organizations. Mr. Roth has been involved in the Franco-American Cultural Fund since its inception, first as the lawyer who represented and negotiated the creation of the Fund on behalf of the DGA and WGAW, and then as a founding DGA Board Member. In 2009, President Sarkozy of France named Mr. Roth a recipient of the French Legion of Honor.
