Born in Karlsruhe, Germany, Pete Szijarto is a Los Angeles based film and commercial editor, director, and writer. He has been editing professionally since 2008 and directing since 2012.
He has worked on a number of projects including the "Borderlands" feature film, the sci-fi thriller feature film "Share," the feature documentary "Are We Good," about comedian Marc Maron, and multiple shorts and web series including "Loving In America," Winner of the 2020 American Black Film Festival for Best Web Series, "Outliars," Official Selection at the Catalyst Film Festival, and the 2022 Panic Fest Best Short Film "The Rotting of Casey Culpepper." He also edited the series "Art Broken," which can be watch on the Mansa streaming service.
Pete loves working on projects that deal with the human condition, coming of age, and interpersonal communication.
He's currently writing a feature thriller and editing an upcoming comedy short that he wrote and directed.
In his free time, he sees films, attempts to fix old video game consoles, skateboards, and loves to hike.
