'The Walking Dead': The Most Memorable Kills Across 100 Episodes

12 hours ago | The Hollywood Reporter - TV News | See recent The Hollywood Reporter - TV News news »

Given the show's subject matter — indeed, given the show's title — the easiest way to relive The Walking Dead is to walk through the dead.

Across seven full seasons and countless characters, only five figures from the first season of the AMC zombie drama are still standing: Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs), Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride), Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and Morgan Jones (Lennie James). That's a whole lot of people we've lost along the way, heroes and villains alike, and all of the others who never quite fit comfortably on either side of »

The Walking Dead officially returns to AMC on Oct. 22 and will kick off season eight with the show's 100th episode. Just like the last five seasons, the eighth season will consist of 16 episodes, as well as 16 episodes of Talking Dead, the show's live aftershow. During this year's epic Comic-Con in San Diego, AMC debuted a crazy new trailer that has us freaking out over Carl (Chandler Riggs) and Negan's (Jeffrey Dean) budding relationship. If this is any indication of what season eight is going to be like, we're in for a wild ride. RelatedAll the Gritty Facts For Season 8 of The Walking Dead »

The Alexandrians Are Willing To Make Sacrifices In The Walking Dead Season 8

19 October 2017 6:02 PM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

For most of The Walking Dead season 7, Rick Grimes and the Alexandrians were held back by their fear of what Negan and his Saviors could do to them. For instance, back in the premiere, Rick was about to chop off his own son’s arm under the villain’s orders. By the end of the season, though, they’d decided to stand up against their tyrannical overlord and now, the Alexandrians and their allies from other communities will lead an all-out war against Negan, and with war comes the need to make sacrifices.

When asked how Rick feels about his son taking part in the battle, Chandler Riggs (who plays Carl) explained that Rick’s come to terms with his son being at risk. He referenced a deleted scene from last season which dealt with the characters deciding that they were willing to sacrifice the people they care about for the greater good. »

The Walking Dead season 8 premiere is a thank you letter to fans

19 October 2017 12:31 PM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

The premiere episode of The Walking Dead season 8 is apparently a thank you letter to the fans.

The first episode of the new season is just around the corner, and fans are anticipating what the hit zombie show has in store for them this time around. The show isn’t quite as popular as it once was but the series’ producers want to thank those that are still with the show in season 8’s opener.

Executive producer Greg Nicotero has told Variety that the 100th episode is “a thank-you letter” for those that have stuck around since the beginning.

“There are probably two or three sequences in the first episode that I was particularly excited about doing that people will instantly recognize. It’s sort of a thank-you letter for people who have been with us all along and nodding to little things here and there. Some of them might be a little more obvious, »

Bella Thorne's Horror Movie Is Coming to Theaters on Halloween, but There's a Catch

13 October 2017 3:50 PM, PDT | POPSUGAR | See recent BuzzSugar news »

Of course a new trailer for Keep Watching dropped on Friday the 13th. The latest frightful addition to Fall's gripping horror movie slate stars Bella Thorne and The Walking Dead's Chandler Riggs. It focuses on a family that's trapped in its own house with a deranged killer. There's a catch, though: he's rigged their house with a dozen or two dozen cameras, and he wants them to fight back. To add yet another twist, Sony has decided to release the film in theaters for just one night . . . and just one showing. Keep Watching will play everywhere at 10 p.m. on Halloween night. Why? As the deranged killer says in the trailer, "because it's fun." »

Jeffrey Dean Morgan wants a Negan origin episode on The Walking Dead

3 October 2017 1:23 PM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

The actor behind the infamous The Walking Dead villain Negan, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, would like to be involved with a Negan origin episode.

There was a lot of anticipation for Negan’s debut on the show, being well known to fans of the comics and therefore the internet. His landing certainly didn’t disappoint and the character has continued his sadistic ways ever since.

From the show’s point of view, we don’t know a whole lot about the character and not much effort has been made to show him in any other light but that of a truly evil individual. But the actor behind the character, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, is hoping to change that.

Speaking to EW, he expressed that both he and the series showrunner, Scott Gimple, are interested in fleshing out the character a little.

The Walking Dead could “absolutely” continue without Andrew Lincoln’s Rick Grimes

1 October 2017 5:45 AM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

While we’ve seen countless shock deaths in The Walking Dead over the years, once character who has always seemed safe is Andrew Lincoln’s Rick Grimes. However, writer Robert Kirkman recently revealed that he doesn’t think Rick will make it to the end of the comic book series, and now it seems the TV adaptation could follow suit.

“I think it could,” Kirkman told EW when asked if the show could survive without its leader. “Andy is the leader of this show and his dedication to the show is absolutely inspiring. Everyone just looks up to him and he’s a huge part of this show. But we have a very strong ensemble, and there’s a lot of characters that could carry the show. The Walking Dead is a story very much about a world and a bunch of people inhabiting that world. “Old Rick” mystery will be addressed towards The Walking Dead mid-season finale, according to showrunner Scott Gimple

25 September 2017 8:30 AM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

The first trailer for Season 8 of AMC’s The Walking Dead left fans a bit puzzled. Footage briefly showed a very hazy, and very old Rick Grimes opening his eyes to the camera. Fans have their theories, but it won’t be long until we find out for sure, according to series showrunner Scott Gimple. Speaking to EW, he let viewers know when, exactly, they can expect some answers:

“I will say that we won’t know exactly what that’s about after the first episode. But we will know it about halfway through the season. We won’t quite know what it’s about, and then we’ll get an answer to that about halfway through. It’s something that’s going to play out.”

Of course, comic readers may know where this is going. However, The Walking Dead television series hasn’t exactly been known to keep with continuity. »
