Aliya Leigh was born and raised in Rosedale, New York. She resides in Phoenix, Arizona.

She's a well-known animator for book and web show trailers.

Aliya writes and edits film and television scripts. She has completed two novels entitled "Mystery" and "Cyber Pirates".

She has signed a deal to write a horror comic book line for T.R.I.B.E. After Dark publishing company.

Aliya Leigh owns Striving for Pi, LLC; which is a production and publishing company. Striving for Pi, LLC resources will be dedicated to independent films, web shows and graphic novels.

She's a trustee of the National Writer's Union and an active member of ASCAP.

She designed skateboards in her spare time.

As a teenager, she had an eating disorder.

She started writing at a young age. Her essays and stories helped her to get high grades in Jr. High and High School even though she used to cut and sleep in her classes. In school, she got high grades in Math and Science because it was fun, visual and she could always remember the formulas.

Used to play classic piano and grade school. Her last concert was at Carnegie Hall. Now, she is learning to play violin. She and her publishing company are registered with ASCAP.

She was a computer programmer and a network administrator. She knows C, Perl, Java, SQL, Javascript, Coldfusion and ASP. She administrated Novell and Microsoft networks.

When young, she attended The School for the Deaf. She was born with a hearing problem. She had speech therapy from Kindergarten to the end of Jr. High School. She learned how to read by sight, not sound.

Aliya suffers from acute insomnia.
