Jake And The Neverland Pirates: Battle For The Book DVD Review

Jake and the Neverland Pirates: Battle for the Book is one of the more intriguing efforts from the children’s show. It’s a solid enough Disney vehicle in general, and one that the kids love, but the story here incorporates Wendy, John, and Michael in a new adventure that is not only a nice homage to the original story/film, but also plays with the animation in a way that is admittedly lost on the target audience, but is a lot of fun.

Hook learns about Wendy’s book of stories, from which she reads to her brothers about all of Hook’s failures, and he decides he had better steal it to keep the stories from spreading.

It turns out there’s something magical about the book of stories, and the general connection to Neverland, and if the book gets destroyed, everyone will forget everything that happened.

If Showtime's "The Affair" actor Jake Siciliano feels a tiny sting every time he goes on set ... it's because the 16-year-old is making a grand less per episode than his 11-year-old co-star. We got a hold of Jake's contract and tweener Jadon Sand's (they play the Solloway bros). Jadon is set to pull in $11K/episode for the first season while elder statesman Jake only gets $10K. But if the show's a hit, Jake will start crushing Jadon.

The Lego Movie Experience Opens at Legoland
Starting Thursday, Legoland California Resort will open a behind-the-scenes look at a real movie set at its new The Lego Movie Experience exhibit.

Guests can explore some of the Lego models that inspired the recent box office hit, “The Lego Movie.” They’ll also be able to step onto a Lego soundstage and see movie footage.

Actor Jadon Sand, who plays Finn in the movie, will be on hand for the unveiling and will talk about his experience making the movie alongside Will Ferrell.

New Vitruvius Poster from The Lego Movie

A 15th poster is in for Warner Bros.' animated The Lego Movie featuring the Morgan Freeman-voiced Vitruvius character. This joins Emmet, Superman and Batman posters we added recently. In The Lego Movie, an ordinary Lego minifigure is mistakenly thought to be the extraordinary MasterBuilder and recruited into a quest to stop an evil Lego tyrant from gluing the universe together. Chris Pratt leads the cast which also includes the voices of Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Will Ferrell, Liam Neeson, Channing Tatum, Alison Brie, Cobie Smulers, Nick Offerman, Charlie Day and Jadon Sand.

Pictures' The Lego Movie which features the voices of Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Will Ferrell, Liam Neeson, Channing Tatum, Alison Brie, Cobie Smulers, Morgan Freeman, Nick Offerman, Charlie Day and Jadon Sand. We have a new poster of Arnett's Batman, Tatum as Batman as well as Pratt as Emmet in the eagerly-anticipated upcoming film directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller. Miller and Lord also wrote the screenplay as well as the story with Dan Hageman and Kevin Hageman.

Ken Marino Joins Judy Greer’s American Judy; The Descendants’ Amara Miller Moves to 1600 Penn

Fans of Party Down will be happy to see Ken Marino once again returning to the small screen in ABC's comedy pilot American Judy by Judy Greer (Archer). The project follows Greer's character, a newly married suburban housewife who struggles to raise her step-kids, deal with her mother-in-law and stay out of the line of fire of her husband's ex-wife, who happens to be the town sheriff. Marino will star as Greer's husband. Based on Greer's real-life events, American Judy will be written and executive produced by Deborah Kaplan and Harry Elfont. In other casting news, The Descendants' Amara Miller will be moving to 1600 Penn in the NBC presidential family comedy pilot. Starring as Marigold, the youngest daughter of the President (Bill Pullman), Miller will play one half of the family's twins. Hit the jump for more on each project.
