Casey Jay Adler grew up in Bonita, California. He attended Tiffany Elementary School. Though acting was his dream from age 5, he did not act while living in San Diego. He received a black belt in Tae-Kwon-Do and played tons of basketball.

He received a B.F.A. in Theater Performance and a minor in World Religions from Chapman University. After graduating from Chapman, he created a theater company with his mentor professor, Tamiko Washington, and two Chapman graduates, Andre Stojka, and Sean Burgos, entitled Actors Circle Ensemble (ACE). They performed two one-act plays (The Indian Wants the Bronx by Israel Horovitz and Tom & Jerry by Jim Geoghan) at The Ivy Substation in Culver City. It received a resounding reception by its audience.
