Cricket Lee was born in Ft Benning, Georgia, raised in Alaska, and has also lived Hawaii, California, South Korea, and Idaho.

Cricket Lee's move to Los Angeles was completely by accident and she points the finger at James Gunn for moving here. Lee is a huge fan of Gunn's and saw a MySpace bulletin from Gunn saying he would be on a show called "Filmnut" (The Stream.tv). While cracking jokes or making comments in the chatrooms during the live shows and from bulletins on her MySpace page, her writing was noticed by comedian/host Stuart Paap of "Live! from the Future with Stuart Paap" (The Stream.tv), who offered a writing internship while another host offered her a co-host position on his radio program.

Lee decided to move to L.A. when the lease was up on her Idaho apartment. She's been an Angelino since July 7, 2008.
