Brent Yontz is a cinematographer working in Los Angeles in narrative shorts and features, commercials and documentaries. A graduate of Columbia College Chicago, Brent studied cinematography as a National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS Emmy Awards) and Presidential Scholar. Brent's cinematography thesis, "Nanuq", is currently traveling the film festival circuit having played eighteen festivals and winning six including two international festivals. "Nanuq" was recognized for best cinematography from the 33rd Annual Telly Awards.

In 2008, Brent was selected to take part in the Telluride Film Festival student symposium and returned the following year to document the symposium featuring Ken Burns, Werner Herzog and Alexandar Payne. Brent's body of work has been screened at the Sonoma International Film Festival, Cannes Short Film Corner, Anchorage International Film Festival and Chicago International Film Festival among others. Most recent commercial DP work includes two national spots for VISINE and PSA's for the AIDS Healthcare Foundation.
