New Images from and Synopses for ‘Bullet to the Head,’ ‘Rock of Ages,’ ‘Project X,’ and ‘The Apparition’

26 December 2011 8:18 PM, PST | The Film Stage | See recent The Film Stage news »

As the year draws to a close, Warner Bros. is beginning to look forward, as they’ve provided a few new images and synopses for choice options in their 2012 slate. This crop, only a small portion of their offerings for the next twelve months, consists of Bullet to the Head, Rock of Ages, Project X, and The Apparition. Nothing exhibited here is a big revelation for those who’ve been following the films for a few months — although I did learn that a movie titled “The Apparition” is coming out — but a new picture or two never hurt anybody. Now, let’s get down to business.

Up above you can see the picture for Bullet; you can read the specifics below.

In theaters on April 13

Director: Walter Hill

Writers: Screenplay by Alessandro Camon

Based on the graphic novel Bullet to the Head, written by Matz and illustrated by Colin Wilson

Producer: Joel Silver, »

New Images and Official Synopses for Project X, Bullet To The Head, Rock Of Ages and The Apparition

25 December 2011 12:52 PM, PST | Collider.com | See recent Collider.com news »

Warner Bros. has released new images and official synopses for director Nima Nourizadeh's Project X, Walter Hill's Bullet to the Head, Adam Shankman's Rock of Ages, and Todd Lincoln's The Apparition.  While we've already seen an extremely funny trailer for Project X (which was produced by Todd Phillips) and a mediocre first trailer for Rock of Ages, WB has yet to release any footage from Bullet to the Head (which stars a shirtless Sylvester Stallone) and The Apparition (which was originally scheduled for release last year).  With these first images being released, I'd imagine we'll be getting the first trailers very soon.  As a big fan of Walter Hill (48 Hours, Brewster's Millions, The Warriors, The Driver), I'm really hoping Bullet to the Head is awesome.  Hit the jump for more. Hansel and Gretel are all grown up and huntin’ witches, and they’re played by Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton as, apparently, leather-clad badasses looking for some trouble. Or at least, that’s what I got from this official first look at “Dead Snow” director Tommy Wirkola’s first Hollywood foray, “Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters”. Check it out, won’t you? 15 years after their traumatic gingerbread-house incident, siblings Hansel and Gretel have become a formidable team of bounty hunters who track and kill witches all over the world. Directed by Nima Nourizadeh, the film stars Thomas Mann, Oliver Cooper and Jonathan Daniel Brown and follows a group of friends who set out to throw the most epic 17th birthday party ever, which as usual gets completely out of control.

The film is apparently shot “Blair Witch style” from the perspective of the digital cameras that the kids have with them… Check out the trailer here.

Todd Phillips’ Project X – First Trailer Arrives

3 November 2011 2:15 PM, PDT | Obsessed with Film | See recent Obsessed with Film news »

Todd Phillips, the director of Old School and The Hangover brings us the latest in the line of classic raunchy comedies, this time in the form of the Nima Nourizadeh directed Project X.

The film follows the latest Hollywood trend of “documented” films, this time without any terrifying children or noises in the night. Alright, I lied there will be noises in the night as the film follows a group of young friends who try to live the best version of their lives for just one night. The film stars Miles Teller, Oliver Cooper, Jonathan Daniel Brown, Kirby Bliss Blanton, Dax Flame, Nichole O’Connor, Thomas Mann, Alexis Knapp and Jillian Reynold.

As far as looks go, the trailer in a sense describes itself. Babes, booze, music, police, babes… whoops sorry about that. The trailer sets off perfectly with almost a dark ominous introduction leading up to Kid Cudi’s »
