There’s no one else on television quite like Abby on the CBS series, NCIS. She’s the world’s cutest Goth. She knows technology like no body’s business. And when you type “Abby” into a Goggle search, the fictional character, Abigail “Abby” Sciuto, acted by Pauley Perrette, is the first hit you find. Now we’ll all get to know Abby a little better by learning her origin story.
A February episode of NCIS scheduled to air during sweeps will include some flash backs to when Abby was only 10 years old. Capturing the precocious cuteness will be actress Brighton Sharbino, whom TV Line has learned, has been hired to play young Abby. Sweet choice, execs! She looks full of personality.
Don’t let the blonde hair fool you, I do believe young Sharbino will have darker hair in her episode so that she’ll look more like Abby. »

The actress will channel her inner Pauley Perrette, a challenge at any age. NCIS executive producer / shot-caller Gary Glasberg tells TV Line he's been considering the makings of an Abby origins episode for some time.
“What kind of origin story could we do with Abby that would be a little different?" he mused.
"Rather than look back at her first days at NCIS, I was more interested in, ‘When did Abby first start develop an interest in forensics? And in people? In bodies, and in clues, things like that?’ So we decided to go Way back.”
Glasberg says Sharbino (seen as a young Abby on the right) is a “terrific young actress” who has spent time hanging out with Perrette of late to pick up on the beloved NCIS cast member's mannerisms and personality.
