Chris Cornell, lead singer of Soundgarden and Audio Slave, has died at 52-years old. According to his representative in a statement to The Associated Press, Brian Bumbery says the musician died Wednesday night in Detroit.
Bumbery called the death "sudden and unexpected" and said his wife and family were shocked by it. The statement said the family would be working closely with the medical examiner to determine the cause and asked for privacy.

Soundgarden made a historic return to the live stage in 2010 and have since toured the world, releasing the all-new studio album, "King Animal," to widespread acclaim. »
