Has there ever been a more self-confident wrestler at such a high level than Chris Jericho? Not only is he a credible main event-caliber wrestler on the merit of his timeless in-ring ability and well-honed verbal chops, but he’s also a consummate team-player in an ego-filled business. In an era where young stars with potential sometimes sustain sprained necks from the hard thrusts into a bulletproof glass ceiling, Jericho has been more than generous in helping get new guys over.
Certainly, he doesn’t have to. With the money he’s made as a wrestler, Jericho could definitely have stayed away when his contract expired in 2005, pursuing music and his family life instead of returning to the squared circle. In Nine Legends, the film hangs on a fictional narrative of an elderly Sinnott, in the year 2050, recounting the stories of his interviews to his grandson. »
