10 Times Chris Jericho Has Put Over Fresh Talent

David Sinnott

Has there ever been a more self-confident wrestler at such a high level than Chris Jericho? Not only is he a credible main event-caliber wrestler on the merit of his timeless in-ring ability and well-honed verbal chops, but he’s also a consummate team-player in an ego-filled business. In an era where young stars with potential sometimes sustain sprained necks from the hard thrusts into a bulletproof glass ceiling, Jericho has been more than generous in helping get new guys over.

Certainly, he doesn’t have to. With the money he’s made as a wrestler, Jericho could definitely have stayed away when his contract expired in 2005, pursuing music and his family life instead of returning to the squared circle. Yet, there he is, eventually making his way back from sabbaticals, bringing his one-of-a-kind persona to the WWE stage. He never stands on ceremony either, always making sure »

Mike Tyon’s Reaction To Ronda Rousey’s Suicide Comments

You could argue that Mike Tyson – a name synonymous with controversy and fame – is the perfect sportsmen to ask about the euphoric highs and soul crushing lows of fame and combat sports.

Tyson became a phenom from a young age, captivating the masses and becoming the youngest Heavyweight champion of all time. Talk about a high. However, it’s never been all plain sailing for the boxing icon, with drug abuse, shock losses and financial bankruptcy defining some stunning low points.

With his own past experiences presumably squarely in mind, the former Heavyweight champion recently spoke to TMZ Sports to reach out and offer some words of wisdom to Rousey following her recent comments on the Ellen Show that she contemplated suicide following her loss to Holly Holm.

“Everybody has a bad day at the office. She needs to focus on coming back, eventually. She can do what she wants, »

9 Awesome Things We Learned From “Nine Legends”

4 February 2016 12:42 PM, PST | Obsessed with Film | See recent Obsessed with Film news »

David Sinnott

For the past few years, documentary filmmaker David Sinnott has been shoot-interviewing wrestlers and professional fighters, compiling material for his documentary, Nine Legends. It’s a true Mount Rushmore of fighters as well, more than delivering on the ‘Legend’ promise of the title.

The full list of those interviewed by Sinnott for the project are: Goldberg, Bret Hart, The Dynamite Kid, Rob Van Dam, Mike Tyson, Randy Couture, Lita, Ted Dibiase and Chris Jericho. Quite the range of stars, I’m sure you’ll agre.

Fans of wrestling docs may already recognise Sinnott’s name from his acclaimed 2009 effort, Bloodstained Memoirs, which followed a similar template, interviewing another 9 stars, including the likes of Ultimo Dragon, Mick Foley, The Great Muta, Roddy Piper and others.

In Nine Legends, the film hangs on a fictional narrative of an elderly Sinnott, in the year 2050, recounting the stories of his interviews to his grandson. »
