The recently-crowned "The Biggest Loser" winner paid a visit to "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Friday, May 15 to talk about her victory. At 48, Helen Phillips proved to the world that age does not limit someone from getting slimmer when she lost 140 pounds and became the oldest contestant to win the reality show.
She was welcomed with the song "I Feel Good" and later admitted that she indeed felt good. "I feel like I'm 20. I do," she gushed. Ellen DeGeneres then asked her about the heavy past and Helen answered "It was horrible. I was to the point where I wasn't even getting out of bed. I was so depressed it was drawn." And then she went on that 10 and a half hours waiting in line for the audition was the most fulfilling hours in her life.
Helen said that what happened with her in the past was the fact that...

Helen Phillips became "The Biggest Loser" on Tuesday night with a 140-pound weight loss -- 54.7 percent down from her 257 starting weight. Now she talks to Et about her biggest challenges. "Being away from my family was difficult for me," the svelte, 117-pound winner tells Et. "There seemed to be a lot of game play on the ranch and you didn't know who to trust. That was difficult, because I am really not a game player. Having [trainer] Jillian [Michaels] to talk to about things was such a great help. She is an absolute genius in health and nutrition and then being able to discuss emotional things with her was just [a plus]. It was something that everybody needs." When Helen left the ranch, she weighed 147 pounds, which means she lost an additional 30 pounds at home. She attributes her success to staying focused, and finding three trainers at her son's school to help her stay the course.

Chalk one up for sheer honesty. Helen Phillips, winner of last night's The Biggest Loser: Couples, is well aware that when a 48-year-old woman loses 140 pounds, there might be some changes to your body that can't be fixed with diet and exercise. Admitting that there is excess, saggy skin where her fat once was, Helen says, "It does kind of concern me. I've discussed it with [the show's Dr. Rob Huizenga] because my chest area was so big before, and now it's not. Dr. H says I really need to work on toning and stuff. I would absolutely consider chest surgery. I don't think you can tone this area. So, yeah, that would probably be the only surgery I would ever consider." Helen, from...

It was clear to Filipe Fa that if he fell below the yellow line on Tuesday night's "The Biggest Loser" that he would be going home -- and just miss becoming one of the final four. But when his weigh-in showed a weight loss of 10 pounds, he had a fleeting thought that he was safe. That was until he saw that everyone else was making big numbers, too. After all was said and done, Filipe was below the yellow line with Ron Morelli. And when it came time to vote, it was a no-brainer that Ron's son Mike would vote for Filipe. Then, when Helen Phillips, too, cast her vote for him, the 26-year-old from Arizona's fate was sealed. Et: When you look back at the show do you think there is anything you could have done differently that would have put you in the final four? Filipe Fa: No.

"The Biggest Loser" put the eight remaining contestants to the test on Tuesday night's episode, with a high-calorie challenge. Goodies such as donuts, cupcakes and chips were hidden in silver serving trays -- as was a golden ticket that gave the bearer the right to decide who went home that week. Did the quest for power lead them to scarf up the calories? You bet. Only Kristin Steede was cautious in her calorie count, which paid off for her with a six-pound weight loss for the week, keeping her safe and above the yellow line. Sione Fa, however, was caught up in the bid for power and it may have been his downfall, because with a four-pound loss for the week, he wound up below the yellow line -- and was sent home by Laura Denoux, who actually found the golden ticket. "The temptation, I look back on it, it was kind of crazy,...

"Project Runway" mentor Tim Gunn transforms "The Biggest Loser" contestants with a Macy's makeover -- and Et has your sneak peek. "I am very excited to get an amazing haircut and some new clothes and to finally feel good about myself. I haven't taken care of me on the outside, because I was ashamed," Tara Costa says, after host Alison Sweeney informs the remaining contestants that it is time to get stylish. The final eight "Losers" on the ranch head to Macy's for their brand-new look and then to celebrity hairstylists Tabatha and Brandon Martinez for their new 'dos on the episode airing Tuesday, April 14. "It is a visualization of how far we have all come," Kristin Steede, who holds the record as the first woman to lose 100 pounds on the ranch, adds.
