photography which he pursued as an intern and assistant afterward in DC

While back in DC, Louis regularly attended & performed at Bar Nun's well know open-mic night, 'The Movement', located just blocks from Howard University. In 2002, Louis went to study with Nobel Peace Prize nominated monk, Thich Nhat-Hanh, at his monastery in Plum Village France for its three month long winter retreat. This had been a dream of his since studying martial arts as a child. Afterward, Louis returned to Kansas, where he had gone to high school, and attended college at the University of Kansas.
He majored in a self designed program of interdisciplinary Fine Art called Expanded Media- which consisted of Art History, Modern Dance, Acting, Directing, Video Production, Playwriting, & Screenwriting. He graduated in 2008 and made several short films; one of which, 'FUTBOLanthropology', was shown at two film festivals in 2010 (the International Film Festival of India's Short Film Center & the Kansas City International Film Festival). Louis was twice recommended for the Fulbright Scholar Award- once while in school & then three years later. His focus & time is now dedicated to acting, screenwriting, & directing.
