David Hasselhoff Talks the Dangers of Fame in Killing Hasselhoff | Exclusive
The iconic David Hasselhoff is such a huge star that he was responsible for the Baywatch remake's box office success overseas, despite the movie being a critical and commercial flop in the U.S. And the fact that he only has a very minor cameo. That's some certified star power right there. Everybody loves The Hoff, a theme which is explored from a bizarre new angle in the comedy Killing Hasselhoff, which is available now on DVD and Digital HD formats. Ryan Downey recently sat down to chat with David Hasselhoff, getting his thoughts on this outrageous comedy that puts a target on The Hoff's back. He also learned quite a bit more about the man and his persona.

As we saw in the Killing Hasselhoff trailer that debuted in July, the story centers around a strange but lucrative game played by a group of well-off and affluent friends. Once a year,

Newswire: Broad City’s Abbi and Ilana are doing a live recreation of Wayne’s World

  • The AV Club
This year marks the 25th anniversary of Wayne’s World, the movie that taught us everything we’ll ever need to know about guitar lust, gelatinous cubes, and the cutthroat world of Illinois public access TV. To celebrate the film’s enduring legacy, Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson—the stars of Comedy Central’s Broad City, and well-studied students of its two-buddies-slacking-off dynamic—have decided to bring Wayne Campbell and Garth Algar’s mirthful antics back to the world, in the form of a live table read at this year’s Colossal Clusterfest in San Francisco.

Glazer will take on the role of Mike Myers’ Wayne, while Jacobson will play the production’s ersatz Dana Carvey. Meanwhile, they’ve also assembled a pretty stellar guest star list, with Tia Carrere reprising her role as Cassandra, and comedian Ron Funches giving what we can only assume will be a dementedly cheerful

Writers Guild Negotiations: For Talk Shows Trying to Plan the Next Few Weeks, The Possibility of a Strike Made It Tough

Writers Guild Negotiations: For Talk Shows Trying to Plan the Next Few Weeks, The Possibility of a Strike Made It Tough
The show must go on – until a strike is officially called. [Update — No strike!]

That was the word from inside TV’s late night talk shows and series, which continued to operate, business as usual, even as the possibility of a work stoppage on May 2 loomed large.

That has meant continuing to book guests, produce taped packages and plan for series road trips – all of which might not happen should the Writers Guild negotiating committee call for a strike.

“We’ll see what happens and take it from there,” said “The Late Late Show with James Corden” executive producer Ben Winston. ” We support the writers, we hope the strike doesn’t happen, because we want to carry on working and making a show. It’s concern for us. I think any decision on what we do, we’ll wait and hope it doesn’t happen and hope that everything works out.”

Powerless: Pulled From the NBC Schedule with Little Fanfare

  • TVfanatic
The concept behind Powerless is a good one.

With so many superhero shows on the air, and with said superheroes and villains doing so much damage to the cities where they live day in and day out, this fun comedy examines the people who live there in the wake of all that action.

Unfortunately, with episodes pulled at the last minute, new runs replaced with reruns, and an office theme versus a full on life theme, Powerless had a tough time finding its footing.

Today, Powerless Executive Producer Patrick Schumacker took to Twitter to share some bad news.

#Powerless will not air this week or next. This, I know for sure. I can guess some other things but they're not good. Thanks for watching.

Patrick Schumacker (@PMSchumacker) April 25, 2017

With only two episodes left, and a plethora of reruns currently airing, that seems like a raw deal to fans of the show,

Powerless Abruptly Pulled From NBC’s Weekly Slate

NBC has unceremoniously pulled Powerless from its weekly slate, fuelling rumors that the DC spinoff series is on the verge of cancellation.

First spotted by ComicBook, the network has quietly reshuffled its slate of programming so that this week will herald a new episode of Superstore – the workplace comedy starring America Ferrera, Ben Feldman, Mark McKinney and Lauren Ash – in the same slot once occupied by Powerless. We should stress that this switcheroo doesn’t necessarily mean that NBC is ready to pull the plug on Ben Queen’s superhero sitcom, but it doesn’t exactly look good, does it? Couple this with the fact that Powerless wasn’t renewed alongside its fellow NBC series – namely The Blacklist and Shades of Blue – and it seems as though the show’s days on the air are numbered.

Patrick Schumacker, writer-producer at Warner Bros. Television and one of the many executive producers currently overseeing Powerless,
