Hanna was born in Boulder, Colorado. Her father, an
Olympic track athlete and mother, a speech pathologist moved 40 miles
north to Fort Collins, Colorado, in 1990.
Hanna began acting at the age of 6 in local theater productions in her hometown. When she was fourteen, she started to pursue film, which lead her to her first Indie movie called 'Color.'
She began taking film and acting classes through the Red42 School of Film and then began teaching there at age 17. She's acted, written, produced and directed films for the Silverspoon Film Festival, the Isomnia Film Festival, the Boulder 24hr Film Festival and the Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights Festival.
In 2009, Hanna won Best Director at the Films on a Shoestring Film Festival and Best Drama and Best Overall Film of the night at the Silverspoon Film Festival.
