Nikita Bogolyubov products
Nikita Bogolyubov was born in St. Petersburg, Russia (formerly known as Leningrad, USSR) and had migrated with his family over to the US when he was only eight years old. Being world-class figure skaters, Nikita's parents got on tour to work with The Ice Capades shortly thereafter. Nikita traveled the next year to all the major cities across the US and Canada. In only three month's time he learned how to speak English simply by watching television. And being so young, it allowed him to do that with fluent abilities.
The touring year was also the first time Nikita had been exposed to the entertainment industry in the US. Wanting to spice up the kids segment of The Ice Capades, the creative director incorporated Nikita to dance live up on the podium with The Flinstones characters during one of their musical numbers. It proved to be such a success that Nikita went on to do it for more than 300 more shows after that. Rocking out with Dino at a packed Madison Square Garden venue was the birth of the love of being an entertainer for Nikita. As a big farewell, on the final show before leaving The Ice Capades, Nikita was placed on ice and used in the comedy intermission number with the show's clowns.
Placing a high emphasis on education, Nikita's parents decided to settle finally down in the little town of Voorhees, NJ to provide him a successful learning environment. All the while making sure he kept his Russian speaking abilities fluent just as much as the English ones.
Despite wanting a career in entertainment, Nikita had also always been fascinated with technology. Whether it was his early-discovered love for video games, or simply the infinite possibilities with computers. His video game affection got him some great accomplishments such as being a beta tester for Activision in their Visioneer program. Not only was he accredited to testing games for the PC, but he was also only one of a handful to be used to test externally for the Sony PlayStation for Activision.
In high school he delved into not only computer programming, but also became Cisco-certified for networking. Language arts was also one of his stronger subjects. And while most of the would-be actors were in drama class, he did not find his true passion in it freshman year. It was not until years later that he realized the missing passion was not with acting itself, but merely theatre. In the mean time, what did pique his interest was marketing. The whole premise of branding and advertising really intrigued him. And little did he know that he would be utilizing all these skill sets later in life to pursue his goal of being a professional actor.
But even though he was constantly glued to his computer screen (or any screen for that matter; his great comedic timing comes from watching so much television that he can practically recite certain "Seinfeld" episodes verbatim) he kept very active by playing roller hockey with his friends. Being the stereotypical "computer geek" was never an option for him.
Nikita presently resides in Los Angeles, California and is actively pursuing his acting career. There was never a "plan B" for him. If anything, his Plan B would read "see plan A." He believes his tenacity, professionalism, and above-all, his genuine niceness will take him on a long career journey. And while his resume might make people assume that he is just starting out, he already has had a wide array of experience in the film and television industry.
His goal is to bring his innate boyish charm to masses everywhere. Nothing brings him more joy than to influence directly people's entertainment level. But do not be mistaken, this is not just some "love of the art" adventure for him. Looking at the fundamentals of his marketing background, he understands that it is also about money in the end. By aligning his goals of entertaining people, and the goals of producers, there is a great satisfaction for him to put "butts into seats."
In his spare time, when he is not all about business, Nikita enjoys complaining about Internet Explorer 6's lack of web design standards support, working out, and staying current with technology news in general.
Is fluent in Russian and English and has no accent in either language.
Has been an avid video game player since he was a child. Used to do beta testing for Activision when he was still a freshman in high school. Had the pleasure of working on: Battlezone (PC), Tenchu: Stealth Assassins (PSX), and Vigilante 8 (PSX).
Moved with his parents to the US when he was 8, and learned how to speak English in only 3 months simply by watching TV.
