MTV VMAs: 5 best tweets from the #staystrongbillyraycyrus hashtag

26 August 2013 3:50 PM, PDT | Pop2it | See recent Pop2it news »

Of all the reactions to the performance Miley Cyrus gave at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards, there's only one anybody truly cares about. What did her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, think of the act? It's that concern that led to the hashtag #staystrongbillyraycyrus trending on Twitter.

Of course, the hashtag really only exists to make fun of Miley and her performance, but some of the photos and tweets using the hashtag are too priceless not to note. Billy sort of referenced the performance with his own tweet, writing, "Thanking God for so many blessings tonight. Continue to pray for world peace. More love ... less hate."

Take a look at our five favorite #starstrongbillyraycyrus tweets below:

#staystrongbillyraycyrus This trend is entirely unnecessary. I mean I know it's embarrassing but Metro Station weren't That bad.
