The makers of the upcoming Tamil horror-comedy film ‘Conjuring Kannapan’ have dropped its latest track ‘Bakkunu Suthureney Aiyo Aiyo’. Composed and sung by Yuvan Shankar Raja, the track is comedically amusing yet groovy, and perfectly captures the tone of the movie, giving off a very danceable party melody vibe.
Yuvan’s own singing is very non-serious, and in an upbeat way it is almost like a cry to run away. The song contrasts itself in the most unique way, and is driven mostly by rhythm and groove, with the melody kicking in very late.
The song primarily is like a mixture of folk, classical, pop, electronic, film music, and even some hip-hop, though not in the typical way. There is no outright rapping or anything like that, rather it is a lot of spoken word with delivery aimed like rapping, so there are some tonal similarities to hip-hop.

The trailer for actor Sathish’s horror-comedy film ‘Conjuring Kannapan’ is out, and it is both terrifying and hilarious. Full of eerie happenings, lurking ghosts, abominable horrors, all the while fused with a lot of rib tickling comedy, the film is both twisted and comical.
The trailer starts off as pure horror, as Satish is always finding himself in one house while he sleeps. An eerie mansion, he always finds a ghost who is never fully revealed but always scares the living daylights out of him.
Confused and sweating with heart palpitations, the trailer then shifts to Naseer who tells him that in this dream an evil bloody thirsty spirit is wondering. In ‘Matrix’ fashion, you die in the dream then you die for real as the ghost will destroy the mind.
Then after a couple of other spooky ‘Conjuring’ style horrors, the trailer adopts a complete change in tone and becomes hilarious.

Filmmaker Bejoy Nambiar, who is awaiting the release of his web-series ‘Kaala’, has shared that he felt overwhelmed with the sheer volume of work that a web-series entails because he is used to doing feature films.
The longer format of a show did bring along certain challenges for him but he quickly made his way around it and took it as a learning experience.
Bejoy spoke to the media on Thursday and said: “This experience of working on a series was quite new to me. I’m used to working on feature films but webseries is a different game altogether. What you will see on your screens (‘Kaala’) is a monumental work of three years put up by a team that I’m grateful to”.
‘Kaala’ touches upon a unique concept of reverse hawala – converting white money to black as opposed to the regular practice of making the black money white.

Mumbai, Aug 31 (Ians) Actor Taher Shabbir, who is gearing up to play the negative part in the upcoming crime series ‘Kaala’, has shared that he never judges the right and wrong of his characters. For him, it’s about how much he can connect with the character to portray it with authenticity which eventually makes the character compelling enough for the audience.
The actor spoke to the media on Thursday and spoke about his character of Naman Arora: “I don’t look at his characters through the lens of protagonist or antagonist.”
Instead, the actor mentioned that to sketch a riveting performance an actor has to defend their character and its actions.
He further mentioned: “The trick is to defend the character, when you do that, you empathise with the character, and when you empathise with the character you become the character which automatically lends credibility and authenticity to the performance.

In the '80s, we got Countdown and Channel 4. In the '90s, we got the Spice Girls and Channel 5. In the '00s, we got Dave and Top Gear repeats.
And in the whatever-we-call-this-decade, we've got ITVBe and Towie. Lots and lots of Towie.
Not content with ITV2, ITV3 and ITV4, the broadcaster launches ITVBe this evening, a home for "entertainment and lifestyle" programming. That basically means more Towie.
Who would want to miss this momentous moment in broadcasting history? All the big guns - Jamelia, Mark Wright and Denise Van Outen - are involved at some point tonight, and we'll be sticking it out for the duration.
We'll be live blogging the whole evening from the Peter Andre kick-off at 7pm to the closing of the reem Towie party at 11pm - just dipping out in time to avoid Joe Swash on Celebrity Dinner Date.

Ginger Snaps star Katherine Isabelle, will be joining the second season of Hannibal, according to TVLine. Her character is described as a lesbian and a potential love interest for Will, which sounds like Bryan Fuller is toying with us again.
Deadline reports that NBC has announced two more casting choices for its upcoming Rosemary’s Baby mini-series. Patrick J. Adams will play the male lead Guy, while Jason Isaacs will play coven leader Roman Castevet. I’m curious if Adams is going to try to play sinister or use his adorable qualities to make Guy’s deeds more horrifying.
PBS will debut Britcom Vicious on July 6, which stars Ian McKellen and Derek Jacobi as a sharp-tongued couple who are approaching their 50th anniversary.
Thanks to a championship football game as lead-in, the second season premiere of The Following was the series’ highest-rated episode.

Although it was down a tick in the ratings on Palm Sunday, March 24 (10.3 million total viewers vs. 10.9 and 10.8 on the Sundays prior, respectively), History's "The Bible," a dramatic retelling that spans Genesis to Revelation, finishes out its run on Sunday, March 31 -- also Easter Sunday in the Christian world -- as an unqualified hit.
