MTV isn't done with those "Jersey Shore" kids just yet. With "Snooki & JWoww" still going strong, they rolled out the latest offering featuring a "Shore" alum. Vinny Guadagnino's latest venture is a little different, though. "The Show with Vinny" is a bit of a hybrid between the reality and talk show genres.
What makes it different from the traditional talk show is that it takes place in Vinny's house, and his family hangs around during the celebrity chats.
In the premiere episode, after a post-"VMAs" preview, Vinny sat down to chat with Lil Wayne. As soon as Wayne mentioned he was from New Orleans, Vinny's mom jumped in. She always heard of gumbo but didn't know what it was. And just like that the interview was derailed.
“The whole presentation of 'The Show with Vinny' feels almost purposefully off-putting," Entertainment Weekly said of this premiere. "There are regular »

Lil Wayne is reportedly engaged. The 'Lollipop' rapper has been dating Dhea Sodano for two years and in a trailer for Vinny Guadagnino's 'The Show With Vinny', Wayne says 'My fiancee is Italian,' when asked if he has ever eaten Italian food. However, it could simply be a joke as on Valentine's Day 2012 he wrote on Twitter, 'She said yes!' before adding: 'Ohhhhhhh now I see why! I meant 'she said yes' to being my valentine!!! Hahahahahahaha! Y'all krazy (sic).' The rapper - who has confirmed that he is epileptic and nearly died after his heart rate decreased to '30 per cent' in March - suffered yet another seizure earlier this week. Speaking about his condition previously, he said: »

Even with its close proximity to New York City, Staten Island residents have likely seen an increase in star sightings lately thanks to local MTV star Vinny Guadagnino. “The Show With Vinny is a hybrid talk show reality show,” the former Jersey Shore star tells The Hollywood Reporter. “Celebrities come over to my house where I grew up in Staten Island. My mother cooks for them, we have a big Sunday dinner with my family, I interview them [and] sometimes we do something fun.” Viewers got a sneak peek at The Show With Vinny in April when the

Growing up, Vinny Guadagnino wouldn't invite friends over to his family's modest Staten Island, N.Y., home. Now it's the backdrop for his MTV talk show, aptly named "The Show With Vinny."
The cablenet was slated to run a sneak peek following the MTV Movie Awards featuring clips with Mark Wahlberg, Anthony Mackie and Ke$ha. The 11-episode talk show launches officially on Thursday, May 2, with Lil Wayne.
The premise has guests coming to the family home of the quiet guy from "Jersey Shore," where Guadagnino's mom, Paola Giaimo, cooks for everyone, and Guadagnino's sisters, Antonella and Mariann Guadagnino, interrupt as he tries to talk to guests, which will include Jenny McCarthy, Redfoo, Scott Disick, Kat Graham and A$AP.
The set, a well-worn couch and chair, is in what was intended to be a dining room but until the show had been Giaimo's bedroom. Crucifixes, Communion photos and maps of Sicily decorate the walls. »

Jersey Shore’s Vinny Guadagnino hosts MTV’s The Show With Vinny (premiering Thursday, May 2, at 10pm Et/Pt), a new conversational interview show from his family home in Staten Island, N.Y. With no studio or audience, celebrity guests enjoy hospitality with Guadagnino’s family and Italian cuisine prepared by his mother. When Jersey Shore ended, MTV promised/warned it wouldn’t be the last we’d see of Snooki, The Situation, et al. We’ve already been subjected to spinoffs Snooki & Jwoww and The Pauly D Project, neither of which garnered the same following as Jersey Shore, and MTV seems to be clutching at this [...]

The best thing you can say about The Show With Vinny — MTV’s latest Jersey Shore franchise extension — is that the concept isn’t half bad. Vinny Guadagnino was the most believable human being on the Jersey Shore cast, the only person on the show who didn’t gradually morph into a cartoonish self-parody. He was also genuinely funny — his riffs with hetero-lifemate Pauly D lent the show a slight air of self-awareness.
And there is a lot of potential in having Vinny interview the celebs in his own house, with his mom and sisters and various other relatives on »

Zach Stone just graduated from high school. He lives with his parents. He works part-time at a grocery store. And he has no plans for college. Instead, he chose to spend his savings on a camera crew to film a reality show about his life. He’s convinced he’s going to be famous.
MTV’s latest half-hour scripted sitcom, Zach Stone is Gonna Be Famous, is a meta-takedown of the “anyone can be famous” mold of reality television. As the show’s co-creator and star, Bo Burnham brings manic irreverence to the character of Zach Stone while trying to »

The former ‘Jersey Shore’ star remains ‘hospital bed-bound,’ but multiple sources — including Ronnie’s pal Vinny Guadagnino — assure HollywoodLife.com that ‘he will be better.’
Ronnie Ortiz-Magro remains hospitalized for kidney stones — the Jersey Shore star checked himself into a Florida facility April 27 — but things seem to be looking up for the professional fist-bumper. ”He feels like s**t, but he knows that it will pass,” a source close to Ronnie, 27, tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively. ”It’s the worst pain he’s ever felt in his entire life, and he can’t wait till everything is over.”
“Currently, it feels like forever,” the source adds. “Even the toughest guys shed tears, and Ronnie has over all of this, but he will be better soon and is in good hands.”
Ronnie Tweets About His Kidney Stones
Since checking into the hospital April 27, Ronnie has kept his Twitter followers up to date with his condition:

Ronnie is in ‘a lot of pain’ and will remain hospitalized ‘for several days.’
Remember that episode of Friends when Joey got his kidney stones out and it seemed really, really painful? Well, that’s what Ronnie Ortiz-Magro is now experiencing, as the former Jersey Shore star receives treatment for his own stones in a Florida hospital.
“Ronnie was admitted to an Orlando area hospital late Saturday night [April 27],” Ronnie’s rep tells People. ”He’s in a lot of pain and is expected to remain there for several days.”
Fortunately, the mag reports, Ronnie’s girlfriend Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola rushed down to Florida to be by his side! She even Instagrammed a(n old) picture of herself with Ronnie, just to let the world know he’s on her mind.

Ok, it’s official: MTV has run out of spinoff ideas for the “Jersey Shore” gang, following up its tag-along vehicles for Pauly D. and the walking visual sight-gag “Snooki & Jwoww” with “The Show With Vinny,” a half-hour not-exactly-talkshow featuring Vinny Guadagnino and his wacky family hosting (sort of) celebrity guests in his Staten Island home. Once you get past the initial idea, though, there’s nothing there, since Vinny — the ostensible brains of the outfit — has virtually nothing to say. Putting the show in creative terms the “Shore” dwellers might appreciate, look out, it’s a grenade.
In a way, “The Show With Vinny” underscores a bit of MTV’s nagging split personality, premiering alongside a new scripted satire, “Zach Stone Is Gonna Be Famous,” which is much smarter and more promising, but also less promotable. While execs would no doubt like to chart a course in that direction, »

Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino has landed his own reality show. The 'Jersey Shore' star has already begun filming scenes for his spin-off series, which will focus on the party animal's family life and his wild antics in the New Jersey suburbs. TMZ is reporting Mike has rented a house during production which is right next door to the pad where his former co-stars' Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi and Jenni Farley filmed their own spin-off, 'Snooki & JWoww'.
