The Voice UK hopeful Nate James has said that he should have chosen Danny O'Donoghue as his mentor.
As part of Jessie J's team, the singer left the competition at the weekend after losing his battle round against Lovelle Hill.
Sir Tom Jones, will.i.am and O'Donoghue then told Jessie J that they would have picked James over Hill.
Speaking about his exit, James told The Sun: "Will, Danny and Tom said to Jessie that I sang better. In all honesty I should have probably chosen a different mentor.
"Looking at it now, Danny didn't have a soul guy on his team.
"I think I'd have stood out a lot more as being one of the soulful ones on Danny's team. Hindsight's a wonderful thing."
James also said that he was not pleased with the track Jessie J chose for him to perform with Hill, 'No Air' by Jordin Sparks and Chris Brown.
