Taye Diggs begins performances tonight in "Hedwig and the Angry Inch," the 2014 Tony Award winning Best Musical Revival. The film is based on the 2012 viral short "Webcam," which has been viewed more than six million times on Vimeo. "Ratter" explores the detrimental effects of our technological obsessions. Benson stars as Emma, a New York City graduate student being watched by a cyber-stalker who has hacked into all of her personal technology -- laptop, cell phone and other web connected devices -- to record her most intimate moments. Ratter will receive its Los Angeles premiere on June 14 at the Los Angeles Film Festival. It premiered in Park City last January and centres on a graduate student in New York who is menaced by a cyber stalker.

Kramer directed from his own script, based on the short film “Webcam,” which has been viewed more than 6 million times on Vimeo. Benson stars as a graduate student living alone in New York City, where she’s watched by a “ratter” who stalks her by hacking into all of her personal technology, eventually going from virtual stalking to physical stalking.

After making quite an impression at the Stanley Film Festival, Todd Strauss-Schulson's meta horror hit, The Final Girls, will screen at the L.A. Film Fest next month, along with an advance look at MTV's Scream TV series and many more onscreen scares.
The 21st L.A. Film Fest takes place June 10th-18th in downtown Los Angeles. The festival will feature screenings of 74 feature films, 60 short films, and more, including the following genre offerings:

The 21st Slamdance Film Festival has selected jury members for its documentary, narrative and shorts competitions at the festival, which runs Jan. 23-29.
Members for the micro short films competitition are Amber Benson (actress, “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” and writer, “The Witches of Echo Park”), Todd Berger (director, ” It’s A Disaster”), Laura Merians (cinematographer for “Björk,” “Atoms For Peace”), Kent Osborne (writer, “Adventure Time,” “Spongebob Squarepants”) and Damon Russell (producer, “Curfew” and director, “Snow On Tha Bluff”).
