- Kevin Lancelot Everiste is known for The Bill (1984) and more recently his appearance in the Pepsi 'Stay Thirsty' commercial with Footballer Mo Salah. Kevin is also a stage actor (God is a DJ, Director, Paul J. Medford) and voiceover artist (Adidas, Indeed, Fit for Life).
Kevin is a British actor, contemporary trained dancer and is a 4th degree Black Belt Tae Kwon Do instructor. Born in Newham, East London (United Kingdom) from a single-parent household, raised by a physically and emotionally abusive mother/aunties and had no role models, he became the first ever graduate of his family. His maternal grandparents came to Britain from Jamaica via the Empire Windrush. His father is of St. Lucian decent. Both his paternal and maternal grandmothers suffered emotional and financial abuse at the hands of their husbands however these two survivors of domestic abuse were the only blood relatives of Kevin's who gave him a hope for a life of achievement and self worth.
From a young age, Kevin being the eldest grandson of multiple fatherless half-siblings and many fatherless cousins, set about becoming a positive role model, creating a pathway to success and protecting spaces of physiological safety for the younger generations of his family to pursue their ambitions.
As a naturally talented athlete, at primary and secondary school, Kevin excelled at sports (Running and Football) with ease and flair but was routinely blocked by his abusive mother to pursue sports professionally. Even without adult support, Kevin was not deterred to realize his potential elsewhere, landing the lead role of Romeo in his school play Romeo and Juliet.
Kevin's success continued through the skilful navigation of many seemingly insurmountable hurdles. With just one pass grade (a B in Drama), Kevin went onto achieving a National Diploma at college and then also went onto completing training scholarships at The Place and Trinity Laban. Through the support of his college teacher, via clearing he got a place at Middlesex University and gained a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Dance Performance. After graduating, Kevin created Evo (dance duo), touring the piece Two Forces at The Royal Opera House and Stratford Circus.
Kevin is an embodiment of social mobility from inner city London and serves as a reminder that one doesn't have to wait to have a lot before giving to help others. As an eloquent and charming speaker, upon meeting him, Kevin has an ability to inspire simply through his indomitable spirit.
Kevin's grandfather Lancelot Keith Ambersley named Kevin after former Newcastle United player and manager Kevin Keegan.
