The Winners of the Creative Arts Emmys Are Here

  • Moviefone
So the big Emmys don't air until next Sunday night and at Moviefone we will have, of course, full coverage. But last night the Creative Arts Emmys were handed out, for the people that are largely responsible for making these shows that you absolutely love -- you know, the behind-the-scenes talent tasked with conceptualizing and realizing your favorite programs. Oh -- and some guest actor and actresses awards were handed out, so there's that too!

In the Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series category Uzo Aduba took home the prize for "Orange is the New Black." Since we are, very shamefully, one of a handful of Americans who hasn't seen a single second of "Orange in the New Black," this doesn't mean a whole lot to us, but we are very happy for her! (We promise, we'll watch soon.) For the Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series, the

2014 Creative Arts Emmy Winners include 'Sex,' 'Scandal' co-stars
The first round of 2014 Emmy Awards were handed out at the Creative Arts Emmys ceremony on Saturday (August 16) night at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. The ceremony, which precedes the Monday, August 25 Primetime Emmy Awards telecast, offered signs of hope for a number of drama and comedy hopefuls. Netflix's "Orange Is The New Black," for example, won Emmys for editing, series casting and for Uzo Aduba, who is considered a guest actress for the purposes of these awards. No other comedy series was able to build any other momentum going into next week's show, with "The Big Bang Bang Theory," "Nurse Jackie," "How I Met Your Mother" and "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" grabbing isolated tech prizes and Jimmy Fallon winning the Guest Actor in a Comedy Series award for the second time in three years for his "Saturday Night Live" hosting duties. The two guest acting awards on the drama side

'Make Your Move' Dance Featurette and 5 Clips
The music is pumping, the dance floor is moving and Donny (Derek Hough) stops when he sees Aya (BoA) performing with her hip-hop Cobu crew on stage at Static, the hottest underground club in New York. They come from two different worlds, but they speak the same language - dance. Against all odds, they come together and show the world what they've got in Make Your Move. Cj Entertainment has released a behind-the-scenes featurette and five clips from Make Your Move, which opened in theaters this weekend.

Emmys 2013: The complete winners list
Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul were upset in their respective acting categories, but Breaking Bad won the night’s top prize, taking home its first Emmy for Best Drama. It was an unpredictable night in several major categories: In addition to The Newsroom’s Jeff Daniels taking home the trophy for Best Actor in a Drama and Boardwalk Empire’s Bobby Cannavale winning for Supporting Actor, Veep’s Tony Hale and Nurse Jackie’s Merritt Wever were surprise winners — Wever was so shocked that she practically ran off the stage without delivering an acceptance speech.

Not every category yielded a stunner,

Travis Wall on Emmy Nom & 'Sytycd' As Live Therapy

Travis Wall on Emmy Nom & 'Sytycd' As Live Therapy
Travis Wall was a fan-favorite during season two (and that year's runner-up) of So You Think You Can Dance, but it wasn't until he began choreographing for the show that fans truly began to understand the depths of his talent. In the same instant that Jason caught Jeanine as she spiraled through the air, Travis snatched our hearts and hasn't stopped putting them through an emotional two-minute wringer for the last five seasons.

As a result of his groundbreaking work, Wall has earned three Emmy nominations for Outstanding Choreography, and this year, all the nominees in his category -- Derek Hough & Allison Holker, Warren Carlyle, Sonya Tayeh, Mandy Moore and Napoleon Dumo & Tabitha Dumo -- will combine their tremendous gifts to create a routine for the Emmy stage! I caught up with Wall to talk about his accomplishments on the current Sytycd season and find out what it means to be an Emmy nominee!

'Sytycd' Alex Wong: 'I didn't think I could do' hip-hop

Alex Wong, ballet dancer, brings "mad swag" and "swag for days," in the words of his proud choreographers and dance partner.

After facing and conquering his biggest genre challenge -- hip-hop -- on Wednesday night's (June 30) "So You Think You Can Dance," Wong spills to Zap2it backstage, followed by his all-star partner Stephen "tWitch" Boss and choreographers Tabitha and Napoleon D'umo (aka Nappytabs).

In the interview, it's clear that Wong is still on a high from the positive reception to the routine. The judges all but bowed down to him, and the former Miami City Ballet dancer can hardly believe it.

"I didn't think I could do it," he says backstage. "I'm overwhelmed I got good feedback."

He credits his teachers for successfully pulling off the dance, in which he plays a man who receives therapy from a psychiatrist (played by tWitch). The routine is set to "Outta Your
